By the time Piper arrived home her anger had dissipated, hurt and determination taking its place. She didn"t have a definite plan yet, but she figured the first step would be to go back to the beginning. And it was precisely what she planned to do first thing in the morning.
As she walked through the front door, she could hear laughter coming from the pool, along with excited barking. Curious as to who was there, she made her way to the patio. There she found Tessa and Courtney sitting on the edge of the pool, dipping their feet. Daisy was barking up into the branches of the tree, and Piper looked up to see a squirrel scolding him from a few branches up.
