Chapter 7   Alice POV   My legs kept on trembling inside the car, knowing any at this moment, I could reach the school. I’m nervous! What if someone will ruin my day again? My mind was restless. Although they have known that I’m the Princess, they might think that I’m just pretending so they can’t bully me.    “Are you ready?”   Kieth offered his hand as he went out first from the car. A smile plastered on my face when I accepted it. I glimpsed some of the students’ reactions. Some of them were glad to see me and there are also looked irritated.    “Hi!”   I greeted those students who were smiling at me as I walked in the Hallway. I’m with Kieth, he was holding my hand like couples usually do. I am a bit embarrassed because of the thought that someone, a guy, holding my hands like he never wanted me to stay away from him. There was sudden romantic excitement as I took a glimpsed at our intertwined fingers.    “Good morning, Princess.”    “You looked great!”    “You’re a Wilson indeed.”   I smiled, receiving those wonderful greetings is my inspiration to do better on my pretending. When we reached the building where my first class to be held, a strange girl blocked our way. She extended her hand as she was holding a medium-sized box which I think contained a Cake.    “Black forest for you, Dear Princess.” She said, bowed down his head and hair almost covered all her entire face.    “Accept it.”   Aesine said as she was smiling at me when she lifted her head. Without hesitation, I took it and thanked her. I thought it was some other girl in school.    “You liar. You told me that you have no connections with them.”    “Sorry, My bad. I was told to keep my privacy.” I said. She pouted and shifted her sight to our intertwined fingers.    “So sweet.” She uttered, I and Kieth immediately disjointed our hands. Kieth, on the other hand, glared at Aesine as he twitched the end of his upper lip upward.    “Are you jealous?” Kieth mocked her. Aesine rolled her eyes and snaked around my left arm.    “Let’s go, Princess. We shouldn’t be late for our first subject. Leave that stiff alone.” We would have left if Kieth didn’t hold my shoulder to stop.    “Kieth?” I uttered his name. I used to call him at his first name because it’s kinda weird to call him ‘kuya’ when we’re just at the same age at all.    “Let me handle her until we get to her first class.”   He told Aesine in a serious tone. Aesine looked at me before she gave me to Kieth. My eyes alternately looking at them and scratched my head. Aesine mentioned that she has a crush on Kieth but she behaved like an enemy to him.    “If you want to accompany her, both of you should go with me then.”   Aesine winked and smiled seductively to Kieth. Kieth had a weird expression as he will soon to vomit.    “Are you a child?!” Kieth exclaimed.    “Don’t be a jerk! There’s no wrong to include your girlfriend when you accompany Sophia. Our room is not that far!” She snapped at him.    “What?! You have a relationship with him?” I asked Aesine surprisingly, pointing Kieth.    “Yes/No!” Aesine and Kieth said simultaneously but what Aesine answered contradict to Kieth’s.    “She’s claiming that she’s my girlfriend. You know, a fan usually says that.” Kieth shrugged.   “What a dumb-ass liar!” Aesine exclaimed seems can’t accept what Kieth has said.   They continued their arguments ignoring my presence already. I’m a bit annoyed, so I walked to my first class, passing them. Nonetheless, They must settle what in between both of them before arguing in front of me. Yet, I still have already an idea---they’re in a relationship without commitments. I chuckled as I thought.    When I reached the first class, the professor was already there but didn’t start to discuss it yet. Perhaps she was waiting for the bell to ring cue to start discussing. I found myself sitting at the last row since the first row was already occupied.    “Princess belongs here. We’re lucky!”     I heard some of them talked about me as I entered the classroom. When the entire school knew about my identity, I felt uncomfortable. All my moves are in their eyes, probably thinking either to judge or to compliment.    “Her nose is different from the young Princess.”   “Maybe she did undergo plastic surgery.”   My greatest weakness is to be judged because of my physical appearance. Yes, I’m not pretty enough to outweigh their figure, fashion, jewelry, and makeups but I didn’t let myself feel insecure. I loved being me despite being hidden in Princess Sophia’s image.   “Why did you leave me there!” suddenly, Aesine came and seated at the vacant seat beside me.   “By the way, Kieth will be our classmate in three different subjects.” She shared happily. The smile didn’t leave her face. Maybe, she was really attracted to Kieth.    “That’s cool!”   After the two subjects, I and Aesine went to the cafeteria on our vacant time to take a snack.  “I’ll order our food, just wait for me here.”   Aesine said and went to counter. I gave her my money and told her to buy food instead of going with her. I seated at the end of the corner, beside the fire exit where I’ve seen only a few students eating their snack on my seat nearby.   On the spur of the moment, I jumped in surprise when I heard the click of the camera. I looked back to see who it was and immediately regret when I saw Ben and Ten. That two nerd guys who were like a f*****g paparazzi for school papers.   They intentionally took a picture of me that caused scuffle to my serene life. I can’t even move on my seat. I heard them asking randomly but I remained silent.   Kieth POV   The food is delicious when it is given for free. My coach spent money for me to eat. He was like this, he’s so kind to me but change his behaviors into a monster to other players. The perk of being a Wilson.    “Thanks, Coach! I want a free meal next time.”   I put my arm around on his shoulder as we headed out of the Cafeteria. He hit my head saying ‘there’s no next time’. I won’t believe that every time he’s in a good mood, he always gave me food to eat for free.   We stopped when we notice the commotions not afar from us. My eyes immediately glimpsed at Sophia, she was covering her ears while trying hard to get rid of the people circled her obstreperously.    “Hey, Kid! Where are you going?!” My Coach shouted when I ran towards her direction.  “Excuse me.”   I shouted at them but seems they didn’t hear it. So, I managed to huddle on the crowd and tried to reach Sophia. When I reached the tip of her index finger, I pushed the boy with all my force so I can come closer to her. I helped her out and covered her with my Coat.    “You’re safe already.” She lifted her head to see me that caused our faces became only inches apart.   She smiled and we noticed the shitty ignorants getting calmed. We slowly went out of the crowd.   We arrived in the Parking space when I forgot I didn’t bring my car with me so I reach out my friend asking for help through text.    ‘Bro, can I borrow your vehicle?’   I don’t care if we’ll going to absent just for this day. In this kind of situation, Sophia has no freedom at all. Media from both inside and outside the school go after her. Maybe one of the disadvantages of being a Wilson.    “Where are we going?”   I removed my coat she was wearing and gave her the helmet but hesitation plastered on her face so I initiated to wear it on her instead.      “Let’s go on a date,” I told her. Her cheek suddenly flushed. Cute... I thought.    “Get in.”   I don’t have to wait for his keys, he had given me his duplicate. She positioned herself at my back. I assured her that it is safe to ride with a motorcycle by taking her hand and snaked it around my waist. I felt her sudden jump when I started to drive.    “Are you okay?” I shouted against the noise coming from the wind breeze and the motorcycle.    “I’m fine!” she shouted back.   As we finally getting far away from School, I slowed down driving and intentionally passed under the cherry trees on the roadside.    “It’s beautiful!” she said, fully amazed. I guessed it is her first time to be here, how much more when we finally arrive at our destination?   **  “We’re here!”   I said joyfully as I gently helped her out from the motorcycle. I took off her helmet and I parked my friend’s beloved motorcycle near the guardhouse.   "Children's playground?" I nodded at her when she shifted her head on me to ask.    “This is your favorite destination to visit before because of the wonderful view, isn’t it?”    “Ah, yes!” she agreed shyly. I intertwined our fingers as we headed to the swing.    “Have a seat,” I said. She nodded, obeying my request. I went behind her to move its chains that caused a little motion forwardly.    “Oh my god, Kieth! Slow it down!” she laughed when I moved a little faster the swing that caused her to hold to the ropes be tightened.    “It is challenging when it is fast, don’t you agree?”    “Are we absent in the class because of this?” she asked me getting used to the fast movement of the swing.    “Ah, I should’ve agreed more.”    “I hope we can able to cope with the lesson that we missed.” She shrugged her shoulder and shifted her sight on me with a smile on her face.   Suddenly, a memory of my young sister popped up in my head. She had the smile that associate with truer happiness unlike now, her smile is kinda different. Maybe because of the puberty that changed almost her entire image.   I sighed, letting my thoughts take out by the wind away from me. I seated on the swing beside her.     I turned to her direction again, when all of a sudden, her smile become more aesthetic. My heart beats so fast as if it wants to get out of ribcage.    “You want an ice cream? I can buy you one.”   I spat out an alibi to shake off my thought. She then turned her direction to where was the ice cream before she nodded. I began to walk to where the ice-cream vendor was. I bought her favorite chocolate flavor and one mango flavor for myself. I was looking at Sophia who was talking with a kid. I immediately went closer to them and handed to Sophia her ice cream but she moved a bit her head cue to give it to the kid instead. Aww, my baby is so kind... I thought.    “My thanks to you, Ate and your handsome boyfriend.” The kid flashed a smile before licking the ice cream.   “Uh, no—“   “You’re welcome, sweetie.” I playfully responded, cutting Sophia’s answered. I winked at her that meant nothing to worry about. That kid knows nothing, he even have no idea that he was talking with the two Wilson. She sighed and flashed a smile.    “How long have you been together?” He asked innocently.   Kids nowadays, they think like an adult already while when we were at his age, I can only manage to wear my shoes properly, read and write, and sang children songs.    “We’re together for 36 months, kid,” Sophia said, mischief filtered her answered. I chuckled.   His eyes widen as if he was surprised. “Woah! Good thing both of you have a strong commitment to each other. Unlike my sister’s relationship, her boyfriend seems not interested in her anymore.” His voice seemed melancholy that he carries all his sister’s burden in a relationship.    “Perhaps she was ugly duckling so her boyfriend losing his interest with your ate anymore,” I said, nonchalantly.    “Kieth!” Sophia snapped out. I coughed and stopped laughing.    “Maybe.” The kid shrugged.    “If you don’t mind, may I know her name?” Sophia asked politely.    “Aes---“ before he could respond, someone called him that caught his attention.    “Dodong! My goodness, gracious, I thought you were sleeping. Go back and take a nap!” An old woman with sweeper on her hand appeared to call the Kid. He waved his hand goodbye before he ran back to wherever he came from.   Sophia pouted as she turned her sight on me. I lifted my eyebrow at her action.    “I’m hungry.”   **  “It tastes so good!”   We were eating in a simple restaurant. A constructed bamboo-made restaurant with wooden tables and chairs, a local reality show on 90’s Television screen, and some customers who I guessed living in normal average life.    “Want more round?” She asked me as she finishes her bowl of soup with stir-fried pork’s internal organs which gave a savor to the soup.   I nodded and she signaled one of the waitresses for another bowl of soup for two of us. Suddenly, a memory came flashing about the young her not eating the prepared food in front of her. Does the puberty change her character or she was affected by the new life before we found her?    “Sophia, which place did you live when you were gone before we found you?” I asked her all of a sudden.   She coughed. I took her glass of water and gave it to her. I felt guilty for asking without prior notification. You’re such a rude, Kieth... I thought    “Just don’t mind it at all,” I said awkwardly.    “Why did you ask suddenly?”    “Not necessarily.” I was thinking of all possible answers to say without offending her or caused her to feel uncomfortable. I shouldn’t insensitive when it comes to her.    “Uh, I wasn’t informed about your whereabouts when you came to our lives.”    “That was too far. I don’t even remember how to get there.” She said, looking the outside of the window. I nodded and decided on not adding more questions. She then shifted her eyes on me and formed a little smile on her face.    “What are you looking at?” I asked her curiously. She chuckled and expanded her arms closer, wiping the corner of my lips with her thumb.   That was my teenage sign! Whoever wipes something away on the corner of my lips is no other than my soul mate! Well, I already forgot about it. That was a myth. I cannot have a romantic interaction with my sister.   I avoided her gaze when I felt my heart pumps abnormally. It’s quite uneasy and confusing. There were too many girls in the world but this is my first time that a girl did this to my heart who happened to be my sister.   “You’re cute when you’re blushing.” She chuckled. “The soup is not that hot.”   I lifted my head to see her and I immediately closed my eyes, when her phone camera suddenly flashed.    “Remove it, will you?!” I snapped.   I managed to reach her phone but she extended her arms more so I couldn't. She might post the photo on f*******: and tag me. My teammates will find a subject to spit a bullshits on me when they see it. It’s bothersome.   When I almost reach her phone, I instantly noticed that our faces are only inches apart. I could even smell her fresh breath.    “Uhm,” I muttered, stopped reaching her phone and seated properly. I was the only one who notices it, wasn’t I?   She took a picture again but not me alone. She took a picture of us.   **   It was already dark when we finally arrived home. I shall give back the motorcycle I borrowed tomorrow. The only thing that matters now is for Sophia can take her rest.    “Sophia, you must sleep early,” I told her and tapped her head.    “Of course, I will. You must do the same, Kieth. Goodnight.” She said, smiling.   “Call it a day.”   “Indeed.”   She was about to enter her bedroom when I stopped her by holding her hands in the doorknob.    “Wait a second.” Kieth, what are you supposed to do with her?... I thought. My thought urged to see her before this night ends.    “Hmm?” She raised her eyebrows, getting confused about my actions towards her.    “The picture of us earlier. Can you send it to me through Bluetooth?”     I was unable to think properly every time I face her. She smiled and took out her phone from her bag. While sending the picture, I can’t stop myself looking at her beautiful face. From her pointed nose, long eyelashes, chinky eyes down to her thin natural pink-colored lips. She changed a lot. I remembered the young her as the not-so-flat nose, but her development for becoming a lady made her look like a fine woman.   Like what I’ve said, in a snap, I perceived something different. It was more than just a love for a sister or a sibling rather. I know, I shouldn’t be supposed to feel this way but I can’t help it.    “Done!” She cut my reverie when he finally gave my phone back.    “Thanks! Have a wonderful sleep. Goodnight, baby!”   I instantly ran to my room and slammed the door. I removed my shoes before I throw myself on my soft bed. I looked at our picture together. I smiled seeing her face next to mine. I caressed her cheek on the picture as I made it my phone wallpaper.   My eyes widen when I suddenly kissed her nonchalantly.    “Stop it, Kieth, you’re making things hard.”   I covered my head with my pillow, convincing the devil in my head to shut up the blooming feelings for my sister. I don’t regret dating my sister today but I felt that way. Oh, God!
