Chapter 9
The next couple of days flew by. While Ryker enjoyed the last of his time at the resort, Alejandro worked with his compatriots to smooth things over with the hotel. As far as hotel management were concerned, Alejandro’s investigation was concluded, Janelle had simply checked out and gone home early to deal with a domestic situation, and there was no longer a need to be worried about wild dogs in the area.
The downside of the situation was that Ryker had seen very little of Alejandro since the night they’d caught Janelle. He’d given up the role at the hotel and had to report to his own people.
