“WAKE THE f**k UP” Is all I heard from my i***t best friends before they jumped on my bed, literally making me bounce off on to the ground with a thud.
”I f*****g hate yous!!” I attempted to shout.
”Hate us tomorrow, it’s your birthday.” Eli pouts.
”plus this might be the last few hours we get to touch you without another male trying to rip our heads off.” Peters voice breaking.
I looked up to no longer smiling friends but sad deebie downers.
“Ohh. Guys come on. You know I’ll never leave yous and our pack.”
”Yeah we know, we are just used to us being the three musketeers.” Eli mopped looking at our photos on my wall.
”If and when I find my mate, we will deal with it when we get there. Now pick your guys nuts up and let’s get some breakfast! I’m starving.”
The day went by faster then I anticipated, as I found myself staring out the window of my bedroom at the pack house backyard where a few of the staff were putting up the last of the decorations to the party. As the clock ticked by I got into the shower and washed my hair body and face. Before wrapping a towel over my head and one around my body.
I went over to my vanity and blow dried than curled the ends of my hair. I applied some light foundation, and went with a Smokey eye effect to define my silver hair and eyes. With my signature dark red lipstick to finish it. I can’t help but think I did a good job but I look like a badass. I smile at the thought then it fades knowing my mum and dad would of put up a fight then given in knowing I’m kinda stubborn and wouldn’t change.
I slipped into a black tight dress that ended just above my knees and a pair of matching black strap heels before grabbing my black clutch purse I made my way for the door to the pack house.
The first person I see is Cameron talking to some of the elders as I made my way over.
“Mija, we have been waiting for you to get here to start the alpha ceremony to officialise everything for our pack. Do you mind if we start now before the other packs come?” Cameron says as he tilts my head up to meet his eyes.
”Yes. I will start it off as I need to speak before any of the offical stuff is done.” I nod and walk to the stage.
I clear my throat to gain the attention of the silver moon pack. I try to brush off the nerves that my pack is at least a 1000 people. Which is 2000 eye balls staring directly at me in silence. I begin.
”famiglia... I want to start off by thanking you all for the support and help that has been given by each and every one of yous after our fallen alpha and Luna. This is meant to be a celebration but I need yous to know The truth before following with my lead..
We are told blood is thicker than water. But I was raised by marcus a father who I found out wasn’t actually my father the morning he passed away.
I saw the most loving father snap before my eyes in a matter of minutes.
We never got to speak about it.
I never got to know the truth behind it and I don’t think I would have wanted to know.
At his last breath he still had the same loving eyes he had always showed towards me. He said that I would always be his daughter. That he was a proud father. And still wanted me to be the future Alpha.
As much as I would like to take over as alpha. I will not go through with this if yous do not see me fit. In saying that we will take a 5 minute break all that oppose please start making your way to the front and we will hear your reasonings. I know this is a shock. I’m sorry I didn’t say earlier. But with little time to prepare and grieve not one but both parents and still finish school I have had no opportunity to tell every single one of yous. Thank yous”
i stayed on the stage sipping a glass of whiskey on the rocks trying to calm the f**k down. Afraid to turn around I thought back to all the happy memories with my mum and dad. My pack. My friends. My family.
Someone cleared their throat which caught my attention making me unconciously turn around to see my pack in the shape of a crescent moon. With Cameron in the middle ready to speak.
“Aurora as the beta and leader of this pack I feel the need to speak for all of us. You have the blood of an alpha that is most definite and of a Luna. You have all the qaulities to be a great leader as an alpha or Luna either or both. No one wanted to oppose to the idea merely because each and everyone of us know you are ready. You are best fit for this role and we are ready to finalise it”
Signing the papers and finalising everything was draining even though it wasn’t more than twenty minutes, everyone clapped and cheered, I politely smiled and waved than made my way off the stage.
“Alpha.”
”Beta” I replied
”Delta” Eli smiled.
we laughed in unison as Eli looked at us confused
“seriously dude, you aren’t meant to say your own title.”
“I hate yous. Eli says walking off
”wait we’re sorry. Where are you going?”
”where you should already be alpha” he says emphasising the A’
Peter and I looked at each other lost before we both realised at the same time.
”f**k THE PARTY” before running to the gardens of the pack house.
