EPISODE 7: RETURN OF EX-WIFE

Cedrick's face grew cold when he heard what his brother had told him. “Where are you now?” he asked.

“We're here now in Tagaytay.” his brother replied.

Cedrick just grabbed his forehead with his two fingers. He thinks that he shouldn't have lent it earlier especially since he still needs to go to the hospital now but every time his brother asks him for a favor, he can't do anything.

“Okay, I'll just get our driver.”

“So you're not at home yet?!” his brother's shocked at the tone of his speech.

“I'm here now in my other condominium but I have to go to the hospital now.”

“Just take a taxi.” his brother's advice but,

“I don't have any cash in my wallet.” Cedrick's assertion.

“All right, just call our driver.”

“Okay, Bye.”

And there, he ended his conversation with his brother to call their family driver. The driver answered it quickly so he breathed a sigh of relief because his problem would be solved after this.

“Hello, sir?”

“Get me here to one of my condominiums.”

“Pardon me.” the driver didn't seem to understand what he said.

“I said to pick me up here in one of my condominium units, I'll wait for you in the parking lot. Hurry up!”

“All right, Sir.” the driver responded.

Cedrick didn't prolong their conversation. Because he was desperate to return to the hospital for the patients waiting for him, he didn't notice that Dexie had just finished cooking and he didn't even notice the girl was cooking earlier.

“Eat first before you leave,” Dexie said happily while holding the tray with the delicious food she had cooked.

“Do you know how to cook?” the young man asked.

Dexie raised an eyebrow when she heard what Cedrick said as if the young man thought she didn't know how to cook. It's insulting her pride as a woman. Because she thought that the woman should know how to cook.

“Do you think I don't know how to cook?”

“The food is getting cold so let's taste it first.” Cedrick diverted the conversation to avoid answering the maiden's question.

When they sat down at the table and Cedrick started tasting what Dexie was cooked, he didn't think it would be even tastier than the food cooked by their personal chef.

“Hurry up, maybe your patient in the hospital will getting die but you haven't finished eating yet.” Dexie's teasing.

Cedrick was eating for almost an hour before he finally finished and left. When he left, the girl just sighed because her problem was over today. She thought that her calvary would begin again but it was good because heaven was still good for her.

She started washing their dishes because she didn't want to see any dishes in the sink. Even though she was a rich kid, she didn't allow herself to be treated like a princess so she learned the simple tasks that an ordinary person does. She learned to cook, wash and do laundry with the help of her maids. She wants to be an independent woman.

When she had finished washing their dishes, she went straight to a room to rest. While lying on the soft bed, she realized that it was good to live alone.

“Then your twin sister won't come here?” inquiry of the Chairman.

“I don't know what her reason for suddenly decided not to come here,” Dexter replied.

“Let her go, the important thing is that we can treat Ellie properly here. She needs to get well soon.” the Chairman said seriously while staring at his sleeping daughter, Ellie.

“By the way, I've fixed her new name so we won't have any problems when we return.”

The Chairman just nodded when he heard the good news from Dexter. After their conversation, Dexter suddenly stood up and informed the Chairman that he would first call his fiancée. The Chairman nodded and Dexter left the room when Camille answered his call.

“Love, why were you called? Did you get called because you were worried that I might not have eaten yet or that I had already exchanged you for another man?” Camille said jokingly as she answered Dexter's call.

Camille is currently at the gym to do her daily yoga routine and Dexter called her right when they had break time.

“I called you because I miss you, you told me you wouldn't leave my side again but I leave your side, I'm sorry." Dexter's tone was sad.

“It's okay, we're used to feeling far away from each other so this situation is no longer a big deal for us,” Camille replied calmly, wiping her face with the towel.

“I miss you.” simply said, Dexter.

“I miss you too,” Camille said sweetly.

—••5 MONTHS LATER - PHILIPPINES••—

Five months have passed and everything is still normal. They were so successful in their plan that almost everyone forgot about Ellie. Dexie continues to manage the company well as its acting CEO while her twin brother is still in the US to have her friend therapy. She knew that her twin brother not only went to the US for therapy but also to prepare Ellie for her new life return.

“Ma'am, the CEO of Stella Real Estate Agency want to meet you in their company lobby."

Even though Dexie doesn't want to meet with the CEO of their rival company in the real estate field, she won't let him think that she's cowardly so she agrees to meet him right away.

When she got to the lobby of the opponent's company, she saw a man wearing a suit and sitting on a white sofa. There, she realized who the man now called CEO was and it turned out to be Jonathan.

Dexie wasn't surprised at all because, with the amount of money Jonathan took from their company, he could now afford to buy two big hospitals.

“Hello, Ms. Castillo.” he greeted Dexie with a smile when he noticed the girl approaching him.

“I don't want to waste my precious time with you so tell me now why you want to see me,” said Dexie sarcastically.

“I just want to give you back the money I borrowed and that includes the interest,” Jonathan replied.

After that, he handed Dexie a check containing 4.5 Billion including interest. Dexie immediately took the check and looked at it.

“Fine, but you don't have to return the coins you stole from us.” Dexie's insulting said while she tears up the check and throws it in Jonathan's face.

Because of this, Jonathan stood up and said, “You should accept that because maybe in the next day or months you will need that coins.” Jonathan's sarcastic response.

“Aren't you the one who caused Ellie's accident?” smiling Dexie said which stopped Jonathan from being sarcastic.

Jonathan was surprised when Dexie approached him and pulled his necktie as if the girl wanted to strangle him but it only left a reminder to him that he shouldn't ignore.

“If I were you, I would just donate that coins to Charity because I can't take it to the pit and another, it's better to do good to others before going to hell, isn't it?” the girl warned then she let go of Jonathan's necktie.

Fionna suddenly came and saw what Dexie did to her boyfriend so she tried to slap her but Dexie hold her wrist immediately and tightly.

“What?! Let me go !!” Fionna's struggle.

Dexie slowly let go of her wrist but suddenly a strong slap touched her cheek which made it redden.

“Actually, that's slap should have a next but there someone must do that.” Dexie's sarcastic response with a smirk on her face.

After that, Dexie meticulously walked away from them. Now that she knows who owns their rival company, they won't have a hard time overthrowing it. In Dexie's mind, the real fight will start now and she will make sure that they are not deprived of it.

“Whoever you brought down then, they will also bring you down now,” she said while driving to the airport.

Aboard her sports car, she firmly stepped on its gas to speed up and reach the airport in time. This time she wouldn't let herself to late again. Because of the speed of her driving, she arrived at the airport on time and saw her twin brother and the Chairman.

As she approached her twin brother, Camille suddenly appeared from behind her and hugged her twin brother tightly, which made her blood boil.

“I miss you so much.” crying with joy Camille said as she hugged her fiancé.

Dexter just smiled and said, “I miss you so much, my love.”

Dexie couldn't control her annoyance so she decided to approach Dexter to destroy what she thought was embarrassing acting with Camille but suddenly a voice from behind the Chairman called her name. “Dexie?”

The Chairman slowly stepped aside and it was there that Dexie saw her best friend, Ellie. Dexie was amazed at the size of what her friend had changed from head to toe. It looks like it’s back to being a teenager.

If her friend used to look like a witch in its dress, now it has become a doña because of the designer clothes it wears from a luxury brand, such as its shoes, jewelry, and bags.

“E-Ellie, is that you?” Dexie asked tearfully as she slowly walked closer to Ellie.

When she got close to her best friend, Ellie suddenly hugged her causing her tears to flow. She hugged Ellie tightly while crying.

“Why did you let that demon push you down the stairs, huh? Do you know that we're all worried about you? We think to give up!” Dexie's sobbing said.

“I'm sorry if I made you all worry about me.” Ellie's apology.

After that, Dexie slowly struggled from the embrace and faced her twin brother who hugged Camille. She couldn't help but hold back because of it.

“Hey, Dex!” she yelled to call her twin brother's attention but it looks like her twin brother doesn't notice her.

Because of this, she had no choice but to approach them to make a disturbance. “Can you stop flirting first, let's go home first! Just keep it in your house!” Dexie's command.

Disgusted, Dexter just followed his twin sister's words so that he wouldn't get into trouble. He just thinks that it's natural for his twin sister to be annoyed when it comes to Camille. Because Dexter obeyed what Dexie said, the girl was very happy.

They left the airport at the same time and boarded the van that Dexter owned. Dexie doesn't know where they are going but she is happy because they are all together. She had long hoped for this to happen.

“Here we are!” the driver said cheerfully.

Dexie was surprised to see the condominium building the driver was referring to because it was also the building where she currently lives, the condominium unit owned by Cedrick that she wants to buy.

“Are you sure?” Dexie's curiosity.

“Yes, this is that building.” the driver replied.

There, Dexie realized that she and Ellie would probably live next door. She couldn't help but be excited to see her friend's unit especially since the driver pressed the same as her floor number in the elevator.

When they reached the floor where Ellie's unit was, she immediately stiffened when the driver pointed to her current unit. There, she realizes why Cedrick is sending him away.

Flashback...

“What do you say?” Dexie wondered.

“You've been here in my unit for too long,” Cedrick replied.

Dexie couldn't understand what the young man wanted to tell her.

“So what? Wait, are you making me leave?” Dexie asked as she frowned.

“It's not like that, you've been here for so long, maybe your parents were—”

“They know that I'm here and then I'm not a child anymore who has to depend on my parents.” Dexie justified cutting off what Cedrick was supposed to say.

“But—”

“I'll buy your unit, just tell me how much you need.” Dexie's meticulous response offered to buy the condominium from Cedrick.

“I'm not selling it.”

“300 Million?”

“I don't need that much of money.”

Because Cedrick didn't want to sell the Condominium Unit to Dexie, the girl did nothing but kneel down and beg him to let her buy it.

“Hey, what are you doing?” Cedrick asked as he tried to erect the maiden.

“I won't stand here until you decide to sell it to me!” Dexie's response was insistent.

Cedrick just stopped and let the girl kneel down.

“I thought you weren't child anymore? But when you act like that, you seem 7 years old. It's up to you to kneel down so that your knee will have calluses.” Cedrick said sarcastically then he left and went out of the condominium.

Because of this, Dexie could do nothing but stand up while being annoyed because of what happened. Even though she was annoyed, she still tried to calm herself.

“I will do anything just to buy it,” she said emphatically.

End of flashback...

“You're already here.” Cedrick welcomes them all happily.

When Dexie saw Cedrick, she immediately glared at him because the young man didn't tell her that her best friend had already bought the condominium that she really wanted to get.

“Hey, You!” Dexie shouted loudly while pointing her index finger at Cedrick as if she wanted to kick the young man's face with her so much annoyance.

All the person inside the condominium unit was shocked wondering why Dexie suddenly shouted to Cedrick and what happens between the two of them.

“W-Why are you looking at me like that?” Cedrick was stuttered because of Dexie's gaze at him. It made him think that the maiden wants to kick or slap his face because he refused to sell the condominium to her.

Now he looks so terrified for his handsome face especially since he's in trouble now.
