Chapter 2
Corina
I sat up in bed. Day 7. It had been a week without seeing Lily's smiling face and it was taking its toll on us all. We had crossed over into the US. We were currently staying as guest if a pack in New Mexico. The Avorados were a small but intense pack. They didn't need numbers when your smallest male member aside from pups was about 210 cm(almost 6'9) and the females weren't small either, most standing at around 180 cm(5'9). They were friendly as all get out though. I got up to get ahead start on cleaning up. James was still asleep . I smiled at the vision before me. I loved him and that was more than the mate bond. 'Please check on your brother.' I'm going mom sheesh. I cleaned myself up and headed downstairs , leaving my handsome mate sleeping.
Alpha Juan was sitting at the table, a plate full of chorizo and tortillas in front of him. "Good morning!" I greeted him. His eyes lit up with a smile . "Buenos Dias. Come sit." He waved and a pack member, possibly an omega brought me a plate. "I know you were thinking of leaving today. Ryan wants to go with you. He is one of my best trackers." He leaned forward. "He is also a warlock. He can detect magic and Magick. He is the one who told me you cam with fae." A wide smile passed over his face. He was pleased to have detected something we didn't tell him. "I can't believe they are apart of your pack. Should any ever want to move to the states, pass them my pack name. We would be honored whether they are passing through or want a pack. We will help." I smiled and nodded. "We appreciate the offer and will spread it to our brethren here in this country." Wilmur, one of the sweetest, deadliest fae to exist made himself known. The fae was something more than precise with a bow. It was like an extension of him. he would totally wreck Legolas. Alpha Juan recovered from his shock. "Buenos Dias! Would you like something to eat?" Wilmur shook his head. "You have a boy, a pup. I saw him outside a moment ago. Curly brown hair. Practicing archery."Alpha Juan smiled. "My son, Rico. He is eleven. He has been fascinated with the bow since he was a tiny pup." Wilmur nodded. "I would speak with him and train with him for an hour. " With that he was gone, leaving a shocked Juan in his wake. "My boy to be training with a fae." He shook his head in disbelief."This is a great honor. Thank you Corina." I chuckled . "Don't thank me. Thank who ever has been training him. For Wilmur to notice he must be good. " He nodded. "He is that." We went back to eating and were soon joined by other members of my pack. Elderin looked like hell.
I went to his side. Upon making contact with him, his skin was cold. He wasn't taking care of himself. "Elderin, you know Lily wouldn't want this. You have to eat. You have to take care of yourself. She will be devastated to come back and you are like this. Come eat. " He sighed. "I will. Just give me a moment to try again." I nodded. He had been trying to link her so many times a day. " I headed inside and sat next to James. "He ok?" He asked me softly. "As ok as he can be. " I leaned on his shoulder enjoying the warmth of the contact. Elderin came running in. "I got in contact with her! She is ok but wants us to hurry up. Damien hasn't hurt her. " Alpha Juan looked up? "Damien? That old ass fae. I will send three of my top warriors with you. I do this in friendship. That bastard played a part in my first mates death. He won't die unless you kill him in a specific way." I nodded. "yeah I know. We just haven't figured out the way. " Juan stood. "Come. Lucky for you I have detailed notes on how to do just this. Follow them like so and he will no longer have a hold on any of the lives he has ruined over the centuries."
