Elder Rachel's Point of View
I just sat there looking at the young witch before me. I couldn't believe what she had said but then it clicked she was a seer.
"You are a seer?" I asked.
"That I am."
"But seers are not that powerful. How is it that you are so powerful?"
Helen smiled and waved her hands over my hands causing the cuffs to fall off my hands. I could feel my powers begin to flow through me again and I started to relax again.
"Simple explanation. Back when the war first began instead of the vision that most had showing them the portal to Haven we were shown this town. My coven decided to move from Colorado to here when I was just a small girl. When we arrived the goddess herself was here and explained that one day war would happen in Haven and that we needed to prepare. She pointed to me and said that I would know when the time came and gave me a gift."
"What kind of gift?" I asked.
"That is for me to know. Right now we need to get to Haven. Come my coven is ready."
I watched as Helen stood up and I thought about Cora and Hope. "What of Cora and Hope?"
"They will be there. Now come."
I stood up and followed Helen out of the building and into a field filled with people. I couldn't believe how many people were in the field. There had to be about two hundred.
"How many people in your coven?" I asked.
"Two hundred and fifty. That includes children."
I could see children running around and looked at Helen. "Don't tell me you plan on having the children fight?"
Helen started to laugh and said, "Of course not. We have been preparing for this day for a long time. The children will be protected and when the witch has been defeated we will be making Haven our home."
"Will you fill me on your plan?" I was not comfortable walking in blind. I didn't know these people. They kept me locked up and suddenly there tune changed. I needed to be cautious.
Helen walked past me and looked at the sea of people as she levitated into the air. "We have been preparing for this day for a long time. It is time to reclaim Haven and purge it of the darkness."
The crowd began to cheer. "We all know our role in this war. For Haven," Helen screamed and stretched her arm out causing a portal to open.
I watched as people began to run through the portal and when it was just a few people left Helen looked at me and said, "It's time to go home."
Meanwhile, while Elder Rachel was walking through the portal Cora woke up in bed with Peter laying next to her. The sun was streaming through the window and since the baby wasn't up yet she decided to start making coffee and breakfast. When she walked into the kitchen her mother was sitting there holding her little girl startling Cora.
Cora's point of view
"Mom," I said as I looked at my sleeping baby girl.
"Good morning."
"Morning. Is everything okay? You normally dont show up like this."
"It's time."
"Time for what?" I asked as I walked over to the coffee pot and started it.
"To return to Haven."
I couldn't believe she just said that I turned my head and looked at her. "What do you mean?"
"It's time. Rachel is with the Coven and they are making their way to Haven. It is now time for you to return."
I smiled. I couldn't wait to see Zack. I needed to pack stuff Hope and tell Peter goodbye.
"Okay, mom. Let me get things together for Hope."
I watched as my mother shook her head. "No Cora. Hope must stay here. Peter will watch after her until she can be in Haven safely."
I looked at my child and said, "NO."
"Cora this is not a choice. Hope must stay here. If she goes she dies and if you don't go then Haven will be lost forever."
"I don't want to leave her," I whispered.
"Once the war is over I will have her in Haven."
I knew she would be safe with Peter. He knew if something was to happen to me how to take care of Hope. I trusted him.
I walked over to my daughter and grabbed her from my mother. "I love you Hope so much. You be good and when I see you again you will meet your daddy." I kissed her head and held her close.
With tears in my eyes, I looked at my mother the moon goddess, and said, "How do I get there?"
"I will open a portal for you. When you get to Haven find Rachel and the coven. Do not go after Zack."
I kissed Hope one more time and handed her to my mother. "I love you, Hope."
I watched as my mother opened a portal and before walking through I looked at them.
"She will be safe and well taken care of. You will see her soon."
"I love you both," And then I walked through the portal. Soon I would have my mate again and I couldn't wait.
Right after Cora stepped through the portal Peter came downstairs. He had never met the moon goddess and when he walked into the kitchen he froze.
"Who are you?" He asked as he grabbed a knife and pointed at the goddess causing her to laugh.
"I am the moon goddess and Cora's mother."
"Where is Cora?"
"She has returned to Haven."
Peter's face fell and the goddess just smiled. "Peter I need you to take care of Hope and one day soon a portal will appear. You grab Hope and walk through it. When you get to the other side of the portal you place Hope into a basket and leave her there, then follow the lights. You have a promising destiny ahead of you."
Just then the goddess summoned a bouncer and placed Hope in it. She kissed her grandaughter and disappeared all before Peter could process what was said.
