Scarlet's P.O.V
I peered out and watched as Noah was giving money to a guy with long ginger hair which was half covered by a black beanie. I instantly recognised him as Scott Jones.
Scott was Noah's drug dealer and he swore to me two years ago when he I helped him to get clean that he lost all contact with him. I felt true betrayal though as I watched Scott pass him a small ziplock bag with a white substance in it.
I stormed out and threw the doors open. Noah looked like a deer stuck in headlights as I snatched the drugs out of his hand. Coming back to reality, he replaced his bewildered expression with fury and tried to grab my hand to take the drugs.
I stepped away from him so he was out of reach and shoved the bag in my pocket. "Give me it, Scarlet." He said whilst gritting his teeth. I couldn't believe he was ordering me around, trying to get drugs.
"No."
"No?" He repeated and it seemed to make him more angry. His eyes never left mine and I decided to stare back, refusing to back down.
"So, umm I think I'm gonna go," Scott said, making me break our intense gaze.
"I think that's a good idea." I said and watched as he walked away. I returned my attention back to Noah was still staring at me. "I can't believe you. Two years, Noah. Two f*****g years, you've been clean. Wh..y, why would you do this?"
He finally looked away and ran his hands through his hair. "I'm sorry, okay. I broke. I was weak and Scott hooks me up sometimes if I need a break or have a craving, but I swear this will be last time."
"I'm gonna flush it." I say, before turning on my heel and heading towards the bathroom.
"No, don't." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards him. "Look, I paid money for it and if you flush it then it'll be a waste. Why don't we share it? We can have some fun." I laughed at his suggestion. "You seriously think I wanna do cocaine with you. You're crazy, Noah."
"No, think about it. It's not like you haven't done it before and if you're there then you can stop me from having too much. We can think of it as a good bye party, you know. A last hurrah before I ditch drugs for good. We can go to Greenwich Park invite Poppy, Josh and some more friends, and I'll get some more stuff from Scott. It'll be just like old times, babe."
I couldn't believe I was actually thinking about it. However, hanging out at the park, drinking and stuff was fun. It was the best part of high school and it would be great to all hang out like we used to. Plus, if I was there then I could watch Noah.
"Uhh, fine. You better never do it again though because I swear to god Noah if you do,"
"I won't babe, I promise." I puts his forehead on mine and kisses me softly. I reach into my pocket and pull out the small bag, before giving it to him.
His eyes light up, like a child's on Christmas. "I know how much coke is in there. So don't even think of using it before tonight."
"I won't, baby." He pressed a kiss on the back of my hand and led me to the restaurant.
Five hours later, I put my hair into a messy bun and put on my navy jacket. I zip my thigh high boots and applied a thick layer of my favourite nude Chanel lipstick. Noah walks into the room still on his phone trying to convince Josh to come.
So far, it was me, Noah, Adam, Luke (some of Noah's friends) were coming with a secret addition of Jordan, who I invited. I knew that if I told Noah that Jordan was coming then it would lead to a big argument and we wouldn't even make it out the door.
He ends the call and puts the phone away. "I finally convinced them that getting high on coke is better than a romantic night in." He held out his hand and I took it. We decided to walk as it was only fifteen minutes to the park from my apartment.
They were all already here apart from Jordan, who texted me he was running ten minutes late. Scott started to hand out spliffs and vodka, when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and Jordan was standing there.
He caught me by surprise and pulled me into a tight hug. I laughed and awkwardly tried to pull away. "Guys, this is Jordan. He's in my business class." Everyone just gave him a small nod in acknowledgment, apart from Noah of course.
We started to make small talk about his family and school. I knew that Noah was watching us from the bench and I could see him from the corner of my eye, smoking.
I offered Jordan a drink and a spliff but he refused. I found it sort of strange but at the same time was thankful that at least one of us would be sober by the end of the night.
I walked over to Noah and sat next to him. He put his cigarette out for me and I took it from his hands, taking a puff. I immediately started to cough as the harsh nicotine entered my lungs. It burnt my throat and it made me wonder how people loved it so much.
I gave it back to him and took a swing of the vodka and rested my head on Noah's shoulder. To my surprise he had been really calm about the whole Jordan thing. I expected him to blow up and make a big deal about it.
The cool breeze and the warmth of Noah made me feel relaxed and I slowly closed my eyes. For once I felt peace and it felt like the early days of our relationship when everything was amazing.
Suddenly, I could hear sirens blaring and a torch light hit my face making me squint. Four police officers were surrounding us, two in front and two behind. Noah quickly stuffed the spliffs into his pocket and jumped off the bench. I slowly walked towards Poppy and Jordan.
"Is everything alright, officers?" Noah tried to speak as soberly as possible but it came out as a slur.
"We had a noise complaint that some kids were screwing about in the park, shouting and swearing." The officer on the left said.
"Well, we haven't seen anyone like that. We've just been sitting here quietly minding our own business." The officer obviously knew that we had been drinking and smoking because empty bottles and cigarettes were scattered all over the floor.
"You guys don't happen to have any drugs on you, do you?" The officer stepped closer towards us and I knew we weren't getting out of this. Noah and Adam had some spliffs still left and I thankful that they had all used up the weed but if they tested us then we would be in deep s**t.
"Of course not we are upstanding citizens." Noah said in a smug tone and I wanted to slap him for being so stupid. It seemed to piss the officer off as he signalled something to the others.
I felt something cold on my wrists and looked behind me. One of the officers was placing a pair of steel handcuffs on me. I saw everyone else getting arrested too and panic started to kick in. Adam, Luke, Josh and Noah were all calm like this was a usual occurrence.
Poppy looked like me and I could tell that she was slightly scared. Jordan was resisting and I knew out of all of us he was the most aware of what was happening.
I pushed into a police car, with Noah on one side and Jordan on the other. I felt Noah's nose press against my ear. "It'll be alright, baby. Don't worry." The alcohol on his breathe was evident.
I'd never been arrested before and I started to feel sick from everything I drank. The only thing I knew for sure was I was in deep trouble.
