I spent the rest of the day walking with Ares, but we barely said a word to each other and it was tense and uncomfortable for everyone.
He didn’t want to waste any more time getting back, and I think that he wanted to spend more time walking through the night than we had done before, but tonight… tonight was different.
Everyone was feeling awkward around me and Zaahra, but now Ares could see that Jayne and Aleks were both angry at me and that ignoring this situation any longer was not going to work for anybody, so he begrudgingly told people we would set up camp for the night and that he knew that they had some concerns which would be dealt with before we carried on any further.
