The entire campsite was eerily silent as we approached it, and I was scared of what might have happened. It was probably nothing more than the majority of the others being asleep, but I was still afraid and I felt Ares squeeze my hand reassuringly as I tried to calm myself down. I still saw Zaahra as formidable, and I was scared that she would be there waiting for us, prepared to turn this entire pack against me because of things that were completely out of my control.
