They drive back to the motel, Joshua dropping them off without getting out of the car.
“I’ll be in touch. It might take a while to get in touch with my source. I imagine they’ll be busy with the body I called in, but I’ll see what they’re thinking about the killing as well as ask her to send the fur off to get tested. She’ll say she found it if I ask her,” Joshua says out of his rolled-down window.
“We’ll get to work. We all have laptops. Hopefully, between the three of us, we’ll find something,” Elijah says.
“Don’t forget to eat. Don’t wait for me. I’ll grab something while I’m out,” Joshua says, and then he waves and drives off.
“Should we work in our room?” Elijah asks.
“I’ll meet you there. Just need to get my laptop,” Jayden says, and he heads for his room.
