Jeremy's POV
Standing on a hill high above the royal training grounds, I watched my son sparring with another young male. I wouldn't lie and say I wasn't proud of how he carried himself and easily took down the other male. Nicholas kept a level head and didn't let anger blind him. He was the kind of fighter I needed in my army.
'Are you we going to talk to him this time?' Murdoch asked impatiently.
'No, I replied. I had been watching my son Nicholas even since I was resurrected. Part of me did so because I wanted to evaluate his abilities as a fighter. Then there was the part of me that just missed him. I wanted to recruit him to my side. But I needed the right opportunity.
'This is getting creepy,' Murdoch mumbled. 'If we aren't going to talk to him, then what are we doing here?'
I ignored the demon and went back to watching Nicholas. He was walking away from the training grounds towards what I assumed to be a locker room. He stopped, and I knew he had spotted me. I stared back for a moment. I knew it was time to leave. So I took off into the cover of the trees.
'We have to meet with the vampires,' Murdoch mumbled. 'Felicia went through a lot of trouble to get them to meet with us.'
I sighed. 'Yes, I am aware. My ears still work, demon.' I said as I ran through the forest using the demon's speed which was faster than vampire speed. We reached the run-down warehouse that the vampires had agreed to meet in. I looked at the building. 'This is so cliche.' I snorted. My lover and partner Felicia had spoken to some vampires that were in opposition to King Romulus and wanted to help us fight with the demons. I didn't entirely trust them. Murdoch would be the one speaking with them.
I am wearing black from head to toe. I even had on a black mask that covered my entire face except for my eyes. When I spoke to the vampires, Murdoch would surge forward so my eyes would be blood red and glow. It seemed to intimidate everyone that we dealt with. Even vampires couldn't stand my glowing blood-red eyes. I stood in the silent warehouse using the demon's hearing so they wouldn't sneak up on me. It was broad daylight, and these vampires had the ability to be awake during the day and not die.
I heard boots crunching on the dirty floor of the warehouse and turned to see three vampires in black trench coats approaching me. They were all pale with black hair. They could almost pass for triplets. Only they were all different heights. One took a step towards me, and I felt Murdoch take control of my body.
"Murdoch?" The lead vamp spoke in an accented voice.
The demon nodded my head. "You are the one who wished to speak with me?"
"Yes, my name is Rizzo. These are my brother Fallon and Idaho," The vampire introduced them.
"Are those your real names?" The demon hissed out.
"Is Murdoch your real name?" Rizzo raised an eyebrow over his dead brown eyes.
"Touche. Let us speak."
We stood in a semi-circle as Fallon and Idaho took up a protective stance behind Rizzo. "I shall get to the point of why we are here. I will get to the point. I was once loyal to King Romulus. I am still one of his generals. But I am no longer loyal to him. He has betrayed us," Rizzo explained. "Many years ago, he took a werewolf as his queen. That in itself would not have been a problem. But he had a child with this werewolf queen. That child is a hybrid of vampire and werewolf, and he is to be our next king," The two vampires beside Rizzo growled lowly. "We are not keen on being ruled by a werewolf. It was bad enough when King Romulus forged an alliance with them. And now we are to be ruled by one. Now the worst blow is that Prince Dominic being part werewolf, has a fated mate, and she is the daughter of King Cassius. Our next king and queen shall be werewolves. And we cannot have that."
I quirked an eyebrow. "And what does all of that have to do with me?" I mumbled.
"We understand that you are building an army to fight alongside the rising demons."
"And how did you come upon that information?"
Rizzo shifted his weight. "I am to understand that you work with a witch named Felicia Hex?"
Murdoch made a low growling noise. "I assume Felica has a good reason for divulging our mission to you."
"She understands our plight. She understands what it means to have usurpers in power that do not deserve it. Felicia is a friend of mine. She heard of our resistance to King Romulus. I am here to offer you my alliance with your cause. I have been recruiting vampires who are also not keen on being ruled by werewolves," He continued to explain. "We will offer you loyalty and fighters for your cause if you help us take down King Romulus's son and his mate."
"And that's it. You offer loyalty and fighters for my help. What makes you think we can help?"
The vampire regarded me. "It is said through the underground grapevine that a figure dressed in all black took down the great Phillip MacKenzie, former alpha of Zephyr Moon. Everyone in the supernatural world was aware of his strength and that someone with your description took him down with mere rogues."
A cold laugh erupted from me. The demon was amused. "My rogues are no longer what one would call mere. They have been training for years, and murdering MacKenzie was their first major test, and I say they passed."
The vampire nodded. "I would agree. So, I know your men have the strength to help us ensure real vampires sit on our throne. If you help us, we will pledge our strength to fight alongside the demons." He held out a cold, pale hand.
'Can we trust him?' Murdoch asked me.
'He has already proven himself disloyal to the king. But his words intrigue me,' I replied.
I circled the vampires under the demon's control, "I shall agree to your proposal. I do not trust you. But I will give you a chance to prove your loyalty to me. Fail to do so shall be met with a painful death.'" Murdoch explained. "Fail me, and you will answer directly to my king. Understand?" Murdoch said and grabbed the vampire by the neck and squeezed. I could feel the strength behind Murdoch. The vampire struggled in his hold. The other two vampires tried attacking us only to be pushed back with an invisible force. "Do not interfere," Murdoch warned them.
Rizzo sputtered in the demon's hold. "We will not fail you. I promise you. I swear it."
Murdoch released him, and he fell to the ground. "Good. Tomorrow meet back here at dusk with your men, and you will be taken to our compound. Understood?"
"Understood."
Murdoch turned from the vampires and started to run, showing off our superior speed. In no time, we were back at the compound that had once been Felicia's family home. The large mansion stuck out over the various buildings around it. The place buzzed with activities as the large number of rogues we had amassed milled about between training and other jobs. I passed Hugo, who was talking to a few males. He nodded.
"Boss," He rumbled.
"Hugo," I replied. I had been given back control of my body. I was eager to go inside the mansion and take off these clothes, and shower. I wanted to relax with my lover. I walked upstairs to the suite on the top floor. It was mine and Felicia's private apartment. Complete with an office, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. I stripped out of my clothes in the bedroom. I looked at myself in the mirror. Being resurrected had done my body good. I hadn't aged since that day and still appeared to around twenty years old. My hair was a bit longer, and I kept a beard on my face. I ran my hand through my hair and walked into the bathroom to take a shower.
After my shower, I stood in the bedroom looking at the picture of Jemma I kept on my dresser while I got dressed. Even though I was in a relationship with Felicia, my heart still belonged to my first and chosen mate. One day I would have her back. I touched the photo as I recalled the last time I had seen my Jemma. It was a week ago, and she was herding the litter she had produced with the king. Despite that, she was still the most beautiful woman in the world. The door of the suite opening and closing pulled me from my thoughts.
I threw on shorts and a tank top and walked out of the bedroom. I smiled at my fifteen-year-old daughter, Sofia, who had just walked in with her mother. Sofia was born a year after I had been brought back to life by Felicia. Though she was technically my daughter, she was also Murdoch's daughter. She had some demon abilities to go with her witch powers. Sofia had proven herself to be quite strong and adept at fighting along with her powers. She would be a great asset in the war. Even Murdoch had grown affectionate towards her.
The ladies had bags of groceries in their hands. I walked over and took a few bags from Felicia while kissing her. "Hello, Felicia."
She smiled with her painted red lips and c****d her hip. She was wearing one of her form-fitting dresses today. Her long black hair was up in a high pony tail. "Did you speak with the vampires?" She asked while we began putting the groceries away.
"I did."
'No, you didn't. I did all of the talking.' Murdoch grumbled in my head.
I sighed. "Okay, Murdoch did all of the talking."
Felicia smirked and turned to me. "That sounds like Murdoch. But did Rizzo agree to join us?"
"That he did. We must help him take down King Romulus's son, but that shouldn't be hard."
She wrapped her arms around my waist. "No, it shouldn't. Our men are strong and can take on the king's guards, especially with help from the inside."
I leaned down to take her lips onto mine. "Mmm, you taste good tonight, baby." I mused as she ran her hands through my long hair, and I pressed her against the counter.
"Eww. Get a room," Our teenaged daughter sneered.
I pulled back from Felicia. "Perhaps it is you that should get a room," I winked at her. "Because I feel like taking your mother on the counter right now."
Sofia rolled her eyes. "Gross, Dad."
"Don't you have studying to do, anyway?" Felicia interjected.
"Yes, Mother," Sofia replies in a mocking tone. She grabbed something from the fridge and left the kitchen.
We laughed and went back to our kissing. I ran my hand up and down her body over her tight dress. I reached behind her and unzipped the dress, and watched it slide off of her toned body. "Mmm, I like how you look naked." I lifted her onto the counter and attacked her lips. I let her slip my shirt off, and she began to massage her hands over my toned chest. I felt myself getting harder and harder. I squeezed her now bare breast, and she moaned as I traced my hand down her body to her clit. "Oh, you are so wet, darling."
"Always for you," She purred as she reached into my shorts and clasped my c**k. I leaned into her shoulder as she ran her hands up and down my shaft. She wrapped her legs around my hips.
I pressed the tip of my c**k to her entrance. I grabbed her hips and slid hard into her. She moaned out as I thrust into her. Her arms wrapped around my neck as I lifted her from the counter and pressed her to a wall. I thrust into her as she moaned and scratched her nails into my back. I could hear my damn demon making noises. He liked to watch my amorous activities with Felicia. 'Pervert.' I mumbled at him. Felicia let out a small scream as she had her orgasm. Her juices flowed over my c**k. I thrust hard into her before releasing my own orgasm into her. I held her against the wall as we panted for a moment. Then I set her down on the ground, and she stumbled slightly. I caught her and held her from falling. I picked up her dress from the ground and handed it to her. "Well, that was a nice little released," I pulled my shorts back up.
"I'll get started on dinner," She smirked while putting her dress back on. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her neck. I then slapped her tight ass.
I needed to do some work in the office, so I left her alone in the kitchen. I passed my daughter's room, and she was sitting at her desk looking through some of the ancient spell books her mother had inherited. "How are you doing on your studies?" I asked her.
She looked up from me and shrugged. "I will never be as strong of a witch as Mom." She mumbled.
"Don't think like that, Sof. Just keep studying and training. We need you."
Sighing, she stood up from her desk and flopped onto her bed. "But why me, Dad? I am just a kid. What are we fighting for anyway?"
I stepped into the room. "Freedom, of course. Freedom from the ones that claim to rule over us. The demons will free us all from our oppressors when they rise."
Sofia sat up and regarded me. "Am I part demon? Or am I witch?"
"Both," I replied to her. "Haven't we gone over that before? I am your father, but you also inherited traits from the demon that I share my body with."
'She is my daughter too,' Murdoch chimed in.
'Yeah, yeah, I know you bastard,' I grumbled at him.
"I just feel so conflicted, Dad."
Taking her into my arms, I kissed the top of her head. "That's normal. Being conflicted at your age is just part of growing up. But you will see the light. We will be better off when the demons take over." I patted her arm. "Now, get back to your studies. Okay?"
She sighed. "Okay, Dad."
I started to walk out of her room.
"Dad?" She called to me,
Turning back, I smiled slightly at her. "Yes?"
"Do you love my mother?"
"Love and fondness are close neighbors, Sofia," I replied to her before walking out of her room and to my office. I sat in the old leather chair behind the old desk that had belonged to Felicia's grandfather. I may be running a gang of rogues, but that didn't mean I wasn't organized. My training as a beta helped keep things in order. I had files on every rogue I commanded. I set up new files for the vampires that would be joining us. I glanced at the framed picture on my desk. It was of Jemma and our son Nicholas as a few days old. She was glowing as she smiled at our son. "It won't be much longer, Jemma. We will be together soon." I kissed the picture and got back down to work.
