Mia's POV
I pulled away from the hug, feeling more confused than ever. I opened up so easily to him for reasons I don't understand. It felt like every fiber in me was telling me that I could trust him. I don't have any other way to explain it. That trust ended as fast as came. He made me trust him just to around and learn that he's been lying to me. He knows what we are. He has this whole time because he is just like us. The only difference is that we didn't know that he was. The question just kept swirling around my head. Why hide it? I mean, there has to be a reason for it.
Harlow wanted him to stay, and the truth is, so did I. I wanted to figure out what his game was. There has to be a reason why he's hiding his scent. I couldn't help but wonder if Baine and Jack knew what he was.
