After I took care of Kyle, I had some harsh words for Veronica. She was aware that he had a pregnant mate, yet still did what she did. As her punishment, I demoted her to Omega. She was one of my strongest female warriors and I knew the demotion would be a hard pill for her to swallow. She would have to earn back her rank and it wasn’t not going to be an easy task. She was a sobbing mess, which only irritated me further. I certainly did not pity her.
Once I was done with Veronica, I went and checked on Sheryl. Sheryl was still asleep, but the whimpers that left her lips broke my heart. How could my brother do this to the person that was meant to be the other half of his soul? The moon goddess certainly dropped the ball when it came to their match.
