Chapter FourHenry arrived to collect Talbot from Half Moon Street at nine o’clock in the morning. He arrived in one of his father’s smart carriages drawn by two well-bred horses. There was a coachman and a footman on the box, both immaculately dressed. When the porter told Talbot that Henry was outside, he hurried down the stairs. When he saw what was waiting for him, he commented, “You are certainly sending me off in great style!” “It is the least I could do,” Henry replied. “Where is your luggage?” “Andrew McCairn has taken it and gone ahead,” Talbot answered. “All we have to do is to pick up Tara.” He climbed into the carriage.
