Chapter 16: Meeting Allies*

Starlight Barrier

Richard had his foot on a lesser demon's neck. The attacks were becoming more frequent, the b***h was definitely trying to get through.

“Come on, what are you doing here? Should you not be wallowing in some chaos pit somewhere?” Richard demanded.

“So, it is you, you treacherous scum! You slept with that w***e and betrayed our Empress!” the Demon shouted.

“ Richard, stop playing with your f*****g pray, he is giving me a headache!” Edward complained.

“I was trying to be friendly to our past associates, Ed that is all!” Richard said with a smile in his voice. “But you are right!” Richard quickly crushed the neck of the demon. It gasped and returned back to the Chaos Source. Satisfied, Richard asked, “Is everything clear?”

“Yes!“ Lux said

Richard was about to ask another question, but then he felt a presence.....it was weaker than he remembered, but it was definitely her. Richard would recognise the presence of his fated Mate anywhere, even after two thousand years!

"Mate! Must go to her, now!" Amon commanded in Richard's mind. Nothing else mattered to them anymore.

“Edward.." Richard said.

“I felt it too! I will go get the guys. Looks like we are taking a trip to the Elemental Forest!” Edward said happily as he almost danced to Lux and Harper.

“Yes, we f*****g are!” smiled Richard.

The Elemental Forest 

Jamie woke up and she felt incredible! She had no pain or aches at all. Jamie smiled and opened her eyes. She was in the most beautiful garden she had ever seen. It was full of flowers in all the colours she could think of.

She then heard a high pitched squeal and suddenly was surrounded by bright white arms. “I can’t believe you are finally here, we missed you so much Celestial!”

“Alizeh backoff, she has no memories of who she is and she needs to breath. As the air element you should know this!” a male voice said.

Alizeh let go and step back before saying, “I apologise, Jamie, my name is Alizeh and I am the air element!”

Jamie gasped at the incredibly beautiful lady standing in front of her. Alizeh's had pure white hair that constantly kept moving around on its own. She had stunning light blue eyes and pure white skin. Alizeh was dressed in a grey silk dress that constantly moved.

Alizeh continued the introductions, “The red looking man with the orange hair, brown slacks and the six-pack is Hakan! Hakan is the fire element!" Hakan smiled at Jamie. “The blue lady, in the green dress and fabulous dark green hair, is Nerida, and she is the water element.

“Welcome Jamie, I will be teaching you how to control water and healing techniques!” Nerida said happily.

“And last but not least, the dark green man, with yet another six-pack is Terran!” Alizeh concluded.

“Welcome child, I will be teaching you the ways of the Earth and flora techniques,” Terran said in a deep rich voice as he bowed.

“Of course, I will be teaching you the ways of air and the techniques of shifting. I am so excited, we waited for you for so long!” Alizeh squeaked again.

“Have we met before? Your voices sound very familiar to me!” Jamie said.

The four elements looked guiltily at each other. “Well, you see, you called me into the mortal world subconsciously when you saw your mortal parents had died. I, er......” Hakan started.

“Almost killed you and completely destroyed the area! We had to pass into the mortal world to sort it out!” said Alizeh said angrily.

Jamie was about to ask another question when Terran hissed and Hakan moved in front of Jamie. Suddenly, a wall of flame 10 feet high formed in front of them.

“You are not welcome here Richard! Take yourself and your friends back to the Starlight Barrier and we will let this transgression pass!" Terran boomed.

“Really Hakan, fire for demons?” Edward laughed as he, Richard, Lux and Harper walked through the flame with ease.

“You are going to have to do much, much better than that! But then, you always did have a certain attachment to Princess there, it might be clouding your judgment!" Lux said with an evil smirk.

“I agree, Hakan it is pretty stupid using fire against these pains in the arses!” A familiar voice said. Everyone turned and saw the Crone Goddess standing there. “Did not take you long, did it? Hoping to steal her away before I got here, I bet!” The Crone said to Richard.

“What do you expect?” Shouted Richard.

“Don’t you shout at me young pup! I have more power in my little finger than you lot all have together. You do well to remember that!” Warned the Crone Goddess as her blue eyes started to glow.

Jamie tried to move out from behind Hakan, but Hakan shoved her back protectively.

“Don’t you put your filthy hands on her! She is mine, my only reward and I have waited long enough to claim her!" shouted Richard angrily.

Jamie suddenly became pissed, as yet another man who thought he could own her. “Excuse me,” she said as she shoved Hakan to one side and took a step forward. “I have lost my parents, slept in a f*****g stable loft, been sexually assaulted, nearly beaten to death and bloody stabbed by a f*****g tree! Multiple times may I just add! Bur, do you know what really, really pisses me off? Males who think they OWN ME! I AM NO ONE’S f*****g REWARD!” Jamie roared as her whole body was glowed purple.

“Here we go, the prick is about to get it!” Hakan said with a smirk.

Suddenly, the wind picked up and the sky was darkening. A fire funnel was starting to form. “Calm down Jamie, you are using too much power!” Shouted Nerida concerned.

“Calm down, CALM DOWN! I saw the man I think I love getting his c**k sucked by some blonde w***e today! ON. MY. f*****g. BIRTHDAY!” Shouted Jamie. The fire funnel was about touch the ground and start burning the area. It was cleared it was fueled purely by Jamie’s rage.

“Oh, sweet chaos!” Edward whispered. Edward knew it was about to get really ugly. Richard's and Amon's mate just confessed to loving someone else. Even though it was clear this reincarnation had no idea who they were, when it came to fated mates logic went out the window!

Richard’s body began to glow black as his massive black wings unfurled. “The man you think you love?? THE MAN YOU THINK YOU LOVE??? Do you have any idea who I AM?! “ Richard shouted enraged. Flowers and plants started to die around him as he started to unleash his power.

Jamie screamed in sheer frustration, the wind was now at hurricane speed and the fire funnel had just hit the ground. “Out of the whole of my speech that is what you took?? Really??? NO, I HAVE NO f*****g IDEA WHO ANYONE IS!” Jamie roared. The ground started to shake and great cracks started to form

The Crone, having enough, pointed her walking stick and Jamie and commanded "Sleep, now!”. Jamie instantly fell to the ground out cold. The ground stopped shaking, the wind and fire did down. Nerida ran over to Jamie and started to cast a healing spell.

The Crone turned to Richard and said “ I suggest you stand down too, otherwise, I will take this deal off the table!”

“I am not leaving!” Richard snapped angrily. There was no way he could leave his mate now!

“Stand down or I will banish you!“ The Crone said firmly, as her body started to glow blue.

Richard closed his eyes and calmed Amon down. His wings and black glow disappeared. When Richard opened his eyes they were his normal periwinkle blue.

“ Good! Now, listen here! I want you four to stay and train Jamie in the Art of Warfare." The Crone explained.

“What?” Said Edward shocked, he was not expecting that!

“What the catch old crone?“ Richard spat. “There is always a f*****g catch with you!"

“You wound my poor heart! But, of course, you are right. She won’t remember any of you four you when she returns in two mortal months. No funny business either - you cannot Initiate any intimate relations. You will have to fight the Lord for her affections on an even battlefield. Agree to these conditions or piss off! Crone simply stated.

Richard looked at the sleeping women. “This was not what was promised. I was promised my Mate back!”

“You were promised an opportunity to get your Mate back. Now, what is your choice? “ Insisted the Crone Goddess.

“Fine, we will take your deal and train her!” Richard said quickly.

“Good. Now, listen up everyone. I put a time spell on this area, so to her, it will feel like six mortal months. You will have to train her up by them. Jamie needs to know the basics of every craft so she is ready to join the Elemental Gaurd when she gets back. We all know what is coming, Chaos followers will soon make a play on Riverswell to gain power for their Empress. If they succeed, it could give her the advantage she has been waiting for. Gods can not interfere in mortal affairs, however, hybrids and Jamie can.

I also will remind you all that if Jamie can not control her powers, then when she returns to her mortal body she will die. So no funny business, no talking about how life as a Goddess and no fighting. This is my will!“ With that, the Crone shimmered and disappeared.

There was silence for a few minutes until Edward said “ Well, it looks like we made some allies today!”.

“Yes well, it is what it is. I am taking the Princess to bed! Terran make a house for our guests, Alizeh show them the safe bathing pools and Hakan you devise a training plan. Jamie starts tomorrow.” ” Nerida said. With that Nerida and Jamie shimmered and disappeared.

Richard suddenly smiled and said, " Six months with my Princess? Seems good to me Edward!”
