Chapter 17: Training

Jamie had gotten up early and was quickly told off by an enraged Water Element. “ if you use to much power here your mortal body could die Jamie!” Nerida warned 

“Ok, ok I be more careful” Jamie promised. As she walked into the garden were 7 people were waiting.

“Good, because you start your training today. In the morning you will you spend it with the four guys learning war things and in the afternoon it will be elemental stuff”  Alizeh said.  She pushed Jamie towards the four guys. “ See you this afternoon” Alizeh said and all four elements shimmered and left.

Jamie had four guys looking at her expectantly. Richard coughed and said “ Well I suppose I better introduce everyone. I am Richard and my demon is called Amon. I will be teaching you sword fighting.”

Jamie looked at Richard, he was about 6 foot 3, dirty blond hair that was ear length, pale skin and brilliant periwinkle eyes. His body was statuesque, with extremely broad shoulders, long legs and very well defined muscles Straining to get through his top. Richard notice that she was staring and quickly blushed. Richard chuckled “like what you see Princess? Well it is all yours” He said with a twinkle in his eye.

“Richard stop being so rude and just generally creepy!” Edward scolded. A tall man with curley brown hair and grey eyes came forward and grabbed Jamie’s left hand, bringing it to his lips quickly kissed it “My name is Edward and my demon name is Dagon. We are both very pleased to meet you. I will be teaching hand to hand combat fighting. I apologise for my General’s behaviour, he just a bit tired that is all.” He gave Jamie a quick wink.

“Hang on you all have demons ?” Jamie asked startled.

“ Of course! You don’t have an issue with werewolves so there is no need to be frightened of us!”  Edward said. “Dam Edward’s sliver tongue” Thought Richard “ he could talk his way out of a active chaos pit” 

Werewolves were technically lesser demons who had sided with the Moon Goddess in one of the Ancient Creation  wars. As a reward, the Moon Goddess paired them a human life force and blessed them with a mate. To compare a werewolf with their demons, was like comparing a Kitten to a fully grown angry Tiger. A fact Edward was well aware of.

Lux step foward, he was again over 6 foot, had bright white curly hair on his head and was incredibly handsome. His eyes were dark blue. “ Hello  Miss my name is Lux and my Demon’s name is Loki. We will be training you knife fighting and spy skills” he smiled and Jamie smiled back. Richard gave a low growl and Lux stepped away with his hands in surrender sign.

“Hello I am Harper and my Demon’s name is Bast, we be teaching you archery and spy skills also” .  Harper was the smallest at 6 foot, with long black hair tied back into a ponytail. He had dark brown eyes and a sharp mouth.

“Now that all introductions are done, we start the training“ said Edward. “Right 10 mile run to warm up, my little lambs!”

“What? What is the point of doing that I am only spiritual form here” Jamie said

“Ahh but what you do here Princess, effects your mortal body. Hence why you need to eat and drink and we don’t.” Edward explained. “Physical fitness is a corner stone of all fighting techniques. When you go back you will feel much stronger and fitter”

The guys start to take off their shirts and Jamie gulped “ of course all of them would have 8 packs” she thought. Richard smirked and Jamie blushed again. Three of the guys set off at reasonable pace and Jamie followed them, Richard came up behind. 

Jamie started feeling it at 6 miles in. “ Have a break, you done really well Princess” Richard said.

Jamie stopped and sat on a rock. She tried to slow her breathing down. She bent forward and the Black Stone Jamie had picked out of the embers dangled in front of her chest. Richard eyes narrowed on to it. “What’s that? he asked.  “Oh just something The Crone gave me”

“Mind if I have a look Princess?”

“Sure.” Jamie took it off and handed it to Richard. There hand briefly touched and Jamie felt sparks. “Stop it your stupid girl, have you learnt nothing from last time?” She scolded herself.  She watched Richards’s eye turn black and he smiled “cunning hag” he thought. He then whispered a spell and the stone flashed black and was still once more.

“You did not break did you?“ Jamie said nervously, she did not want to upset the Crone.

“ Oh no Princess, I just improved it slightly” Richard said handing it back. “Technically your not lying “ said Amon,  “ you just changed the spell so it allowed us to track her.  It still blocks everything else.”

“No wonder I could not feel her until she got here, dam that Crone“  Richard Complained to Amon. 

Jamie but it around her neck, and she said “Thank you” and blushed.  Just then Lux turned up, his face full of concern “She she alright? We felt her getting to far behind.” He asked.

“I am so sorry, Richard was kind enough to stop and look after me.” Jamie got up and started to jog again. Richard winked at Lux and followed her. 

Jamie managed to finish the 10 mile run and she thought that was it. How wrong she was!  Edward started his training session. Richard had warmed him to go easy on her, but Edward said that would be doing her no favours.

“Right, my little lamb hit me” Edward said.

“What?“ Jamie said in surprised.

“Hit me! Punch me with your best shot!” Edward said with enthusiasm.

“Erm I am not sure..“ Jamie stuttered

She was suddenly on her back, looking at the sky,  “Oww“ she moaned 

“Rule number one, never hesitate with an opponent. If you do you are dead. Now get up and hit me!” He shouted 

Jamie tried to throw a punch, but Edward easily dodged it. She tried another and again missed. 

“This is really pathetic Princess. How can you protect anyone if you cannot even protect yourself?” Edward mocked. “You are so weak, no wonder your parents died!”

Jamie gasped 

“what are you going to do? Cry, Princess? “ Jamie tried to slap him and he caught her arm and forced her down on her knees. “Well, well what shall we do now?” Edward smiled evilly. He started to twist her arm and she shouted. “Don’t scream” he said. His eyes now black as demon half was taking over.

Suddenly memories came back of Ronnie in the filthy stable, telling her to shut up whilst shoving his filthy c**k in her mouth. Fear filled her and she was about to call for help. When suddenly a voice in her Head said “f**k this prick, you are so much more powerful then him!” Her eyes glowed purple and she felt a surge of strength flow through her. She then suddenly punched his groin area and he released her hand. She then quickly side swiped Edward’s ankles and he fell back. Whilst he was down, she jumped on him and pinned down His arms with her legs, she put her hands on his throat. “Say you are sorry, now!” she ordered.

Edward started gasping. “ I am sorry”

“Say that again about my parents and I will rip your Demon Dagon from your body, understand?” Jamie said in an emotionless voice. 

Edward nodded. Jamie let go and got up. She walked off the training area leaving 4 demon hybrids staring after her.
