“ What is that stench?’’ Xanes whispered the minute Anna made it to the table. She was drenched in a vanilla-scented perfume that did more of tearing our eyes than being appealing. I had gone back to the palace and Xanes had become my shadow of sorts. Even following me to school as he had been given a pass in my classes. His argument was he would not find anyone just hanging at the palace. Now we had become a spectacle on the campus, people always hanging around trying to get pictures.
