It was the full moon and as always, we humans stayed indoors while the beasts roamed the streets while they celebrated. Nights like these were always calm, apart from the occasional howls that we had gotten used to over the years.
I had watched movies with my family, tucked my children to bed, and spent the rest of the evening with my wife in my arms before we retired to bed.
It was early morning when my phone rang and disturbed my sleep. I had plans of sleeping in and even having some breakfast in bed for my wife but that did not seem to be the case as I answered a call from my superior.
“Good morning Sir,’’ I answered hoping I did not sound as sleepy as I felt.
