My phone has been buzzing all day long with text messages from Jake. I know I shouldn't have left Hailey the way I did, but I didn't want to have that awkward 'it didn't mean anything' conversation. Maybe I should've at least left a note, but in my opinion, that's just as spineless as leaving without a word.
I haven't seen Ashley much over the past couple of days, but today, she's back and things have definitely changed between us, in a good way. We're laughing together, talking about anything that comes to mind and working alongside each other just like we have since my first day here at Sugar Baby's, but there's something else going on. Something I can't quite explain, but definitely feel.
"You should've seen this girl, Asher. She was gorgeous and her body...wow."
