I stood by my window as I watched my belongings get packed. I would be leaving with Adrian and his family back to Veredentia in a few hours. The castle had been my home for so long, but for the first time, I felt like I was going to miss it very much.
Emma was also present, helping coordinate everything. I would be leaving her behind after all the time we had spent together.
"I will miss you so much," she said, her eyes tearing up. Our relationship, despite not being that close, seemed to have been really important, and for the first time, I felt regretful.
