By the time both of them return, it was midnight. Amanda walked hand in hand with Steve, about to go upstairs. Only to be called by someone from behind. “Did you just come back home?”. Amanda and Steve glanced behind them to see Alan standing. He was wearing a brown half-sleeved shirt with grey sweatpants. Most probably he had been relaxing on the couch and came to greet them after hearing footsteps. “Yes, we just got back home,” Steve replied instead of Amanda. “Why aren’t you asleep yet?” he looked at his watch. “It’s 12.” Alan looked at Amanda, then placed his hands into his pockets. “I was just waiting for a good cup of coffee which helps me to fall asleep faster.
