We stepped out into the hall and met two of our forgotten company, Tillit and Spiros. They stopped before us and Spiros bowed his head. "My apologies, My Lord, but I was concerned when you did not return."
Tillit grinned and gave us a lazy salute. "I thought you might have gotten into trouble, too, so I followed him."
Apuleius smiled at our two friends. "Quite the contrary. We were on our way to the library."
Tillit stepped back and waved. "If that's all then I'll be taking my leave. Books never were a very profitable endeavor for me."
Darda crossed her arms and glared at him. "They would have done a great deal to improve that mind of yours."
"But not my pocketbook, so I'll be seeing you." He turned and strode down the hall.
Xander looked to his captain with a sly smile
