Chapter Four

Alpha Drew.

I huffed as we pulled up at the hotel. I did not want to be here. I'd been convinced to take some time off from finding my mate by my Beta and best friend since we were pups, Cal. Even so it didn't mean I was happy to be here. Don't get me wrong this hotel looked amazing and it was right by the beach. But over the last year I had been searching tirelessly for my mate, my other half, and so far I had turned up nothing.

" Stop moping Alpha." Cal said in a much to cheery voice for my liking. His ability to always be in a good mood was not doing much for me at the minute.

" I'll mope all I want." I grumbled back at him. " Just because I'm here it doesn't mean I have to be in a good mood."

Cal shrugged as he got out of the car and mumbled under his breath " Suit yourself." I exited the car after him and stomped up the stairs to the hotel lobby.

I made my way to the desk and was greeted by a man who looked just as cheery as Cal. Great I thought to myself just what I need. " Booking under the name Drew Adams." I said with very little enthusiasm. "Very good sir. I have your reservation here. Three rooms on the V.I.P floor is this correct?" "Thats right, only the best for you and your pals ain't that right boss?" Cal popped up behind me and reached out for the key cards as they were handed over.

" Your luggage will be brought up to your rooms now and if you need anything else do not hesitate to call down"

I mumbled a thanks and headed towards the elevators and sighed. This was going to be a long two weeks.

When the doors opened onto our floor I was immediately hit with the most amazing smell I had ever smelt in my life. It was an intoxicating smell of Strawberries.

My wolf Casper started dancing around in my head in excitement. "Shes here, I can smell her. Our MATE!" He shouted the last word so loud it actually hurt my head a little. I tried to contain my excitement, after a year of searching what were the chances she was here in this hotel in Hawaii? Although I have to admit that smell was amazing!

I turned to face Cal, who sensed my change in mood and asked what was wrong. " Casper said she's here, my mate is here" I told him. His eyes went as wide as saucers before his face broke into a huge grin and he slapped me on the back. " See Boss, I told you this trip was just what you needed!".

I rolled my eyes at him, we both knew there was no way he could of planned this. I mean if she was here what were the chances that he could of known and arranged it for us to be here at the same time and by the looks of it on the very same floor of the hotel?

I walked straight past our rooms and continued to the only other room on this level.

This was her room. I could smell her.

With a shaking hand I knocked on the door. I waited for a few minutes and knocked again. No answer. Just my luck.

" Come on Alpha, shes not there right now." Cal called down the corridor to me. " Let's get inside our rooms and freshen up. we could all do with a shower and some clean clothes after that 5 and a half hours flight." he continued. I let out a sigh and reluctantly turned away from the door and headed back towards him.

Cal was right, even though we had flown in comfort on one of my private jets, the long hours cooped up in a confined space had done none of us any favours. I really didn't want to smell bad to my mate on our first meeting.

I took the keycard from Cal and swipped it on my door. " Let's head down to the pool after we have showered and changed, you never know she could be down there" Cal said in a very excited voice. I laughed, something I can't remember doing for a while. Her lingering scent in the corridor must already be having a calming effect on me. " She's my mate, why are you so excited?" I asked him whilst still laughing.

" Cos she's my future Luna boss! Have you any idea how long I've been waiting to meet her?" he winks at me.

" No. I haven't got a clue."

After we are showered and changed, which I have to say I managed in record time, we both head down to the pool. Theres so many people here and so many scents i'm having a hard time pinning hers down.

I head to the bar and order a whisky ,no ice, and turn to survey the area. Theres a small group of children jumping in the pool splashing and looking like they are having the time of their lives. Just next to them are a few couples watching on and laughing, so I think its safe to assume that's their parents. My eyes wander further around the pool and my eyes fall on the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Her long blonde hair falls gracefully over her shoulders, before stopping about halfway down her back. She has the most perfect body i could imagine and the black halter bikini tip she wearing cups her breasts perfectly. She has a black sheer sarong wrapped around her slender waist, which signals to me she might be a little body conscious. How adorable that my mate doesn't even know how sexy she is.She is wearing sunglasses and her back is turned away from me slightly but I hazard a guess that she has the most amazing eyes. Eyes that I would happily lose myself in forever.

Shes sat up talking to a young woman in a red uniform, who I assume works at the hotel.

I nudge Cal to get his attention, he's busy flirting with the woman behind the bar. He turns to me in frustration. " What?". I nod my head in the direction of my mate. In an instant he forgets he was flirting and his eyes light up " Seriously boss?" he asks me the excitement in his voice is clear, " Shes stunning!". " MINE!" Casper growls at Cal before I can stop him.

" I know, I know, down boy!" Cal chuckles. I'm about to stand up and move towards her, when she turns towards the group of children in the pool. " Jack! Jacob!" She calls out. " Thats enough for today, come on its time to head back to the room" I'm still staring at her as two identical blond haired boys run towards from the group I spotted earlier.

My heart sinks as I glance down and spot a wedding ring on her finger. I cannot believe my rotten luck. After all this time I've found her and she's already married and has children. As I return my gaze to her face, time seems to freeze. She has removed her sunglasses and she is staring straight at me.
