The next day was a Sunday and luckily, I did not have guard duty of my own. I honestly didn’t know if I still would be able to assume my old schedule since I had planned on leaving for good. But Alpha Mark did know I was returning so I would find him tomorrow, on Monday, and check in. That gave me the whole day today to wallow in self-pity.
