All too soon, I found myself standing in front of the council again, except this time, I was a lot less optimistic in regards to what the outcome of all of this would be. Admittedly, none of the council members had asked me anything again, but they were all still busy taking their seats. It was only a matter of time before the onslaught of questions would begin, and I would again find myself in a position where I needed to go and stand in an empty room and speak with Dae.
I hoped that that didn’t have to happen again any time soon, because if it did, then this was going to be a really long day.
