Chapter 8 My mate and my future luna

I look at myself in the mirror carefully and I can't believe that the image I see is mine. Lily made a daily schedule of changing my wardrobe which contained neither more nor less than 2 pairs of leggings and 3 T-shirts. Everyone in the Crescent Moon pack knows that in the next period we will claim that I am their future luna but the culmination is that no one has anything against it. On the contrary, they seem terribly pleased with this possibility. What's wrong with these people? It's a funny game, I can't deny it. I was born to be a luna , but not to this pack. Fate makes me the lead actor in Crescent Moon, but that's it only acting. Dominic helped me and it's my turn to support him.

"Are you ready?" Dominic asks me from behind the door.

"Immediate!" I say as I apply a delicate lipstick on my lips. I take one last look in the mirror and run to the door.

As soon as I open the door I see Dominic with his mouth open looking at me and analyzing me from head to toe.

"It's something wrong? "

Something is wrong… Dominic looks at me as if 5 heads have grown on my neck. I see him swallowing hard and then putting his hand in front of his pants.I immediately see that his face starts to blush. Slowly I look down at his agitated hands, which seem to be trying to hide something in front of his pants.What us ..? Does he have an erect..?

"I caught you, little pervert!" says Athena in my mind.

"What?" I ask Athena in shock.

"Dominic, are you okay?" I ask him again, this time he seems to be recovering and nodding.

"Elle… you look.." and looks at me with lust in his eyes "you look phenomenal!"

"Are you sure everything is fine?" I ask insecurely.

"You're kidding?" he tells me laughing. "You're like a Michelangelo painting, Elle!"

I can only sit still as my cheeks turn red. I look really good in the clothes that Lily convinced me to wear on the opening day of the competition. I wear a Saint Laurent black sequinned mini dress. You can never go wrong with this kind of dress at a party. At least that's what Lily was kept telling me for two hours as she tried to persuade me to wear this sophisticated dress. Little bit of sparkly touch, featuring a round neck, long sleeves, pleated details, a short length and a sophisticated waist. I have to admit that the dress itself is an absolute spectacle. I feel sexy, I feel attractive in it and it highlights all my strengths body points. My legs look endless even though I'm only 5.2 feet. Accessorized with a black clutch and some cropped louboutins, I feel confident that I will not make fun of myself tonight. I really look good!

Dominic stretches out his arm and smiles at me.

"Tonight we're going to have to be actors, Elle. Not that wouldn't like to claim to be my luna for real . Looking at you now, I sincerely hope this can become true. "

"Dominic," I say awkwardly. ”You want something else. You need your fated mate, nor some rejected woman”

"I want to find my fated mate, Elle, but if I don't find her soon and if neither you will find your second mate after accepting Alpha Taylor's rejection, I'd love you to be my chosen mate, Elle. "Dom ... let's get over this evening party first."

"Dom?" he asks amused.

Dominic takes my hand and we go down the stairs together.

We are accompanied tonight by the gamma Phillip and Lily. Beta Morris and other two of the best warriors will arrive tomorrow, before the official opening of the competition. This is the evening of the gala, in which we will meet our opponents but in a festive way.

All the way Dominic held my hand without telling me anything. I feel his hand caressing my hand. If we were a real couple this moment would be so perfect…

Lily is typing on the phone and Phillip is staring out the window. In my life I have never felt so familiar in the presence of people.

Arriving at the alpha king's court we are immediately directed to the places where we will be accommodated and then we go to the gala hall.

The "great hall" in which we will spend the festive evening is the most important in Alfa King's palace, it is adorned with large mirror chandeliers, with sophisticated shapes, with pediments and profiles, framed by light sconces, all decorated with gold that imitates flowers and the leaves of the Mediterranean gardens, executed with an amazing virtuosity of colored glass and engraved with medallions make you feel like in a mythological scene.

I feel like a fairytale princess. There are currently over 600 people in the gala hall. I realize that most of the competition warriors I will face are here. There are only two women in the competition, so it will be extremely interesting how they will relate to us.

The evening goes on normally, we walk through the crowd and everything is wonderful until a young woman about the same age as me actually jumps into Dominic's arms and kisses him. "And what if we're in public? Can't I kiss my future husband? ” says the woman without caring about the looks around her. So this is the king's daughter…

"Camilla, I'm not your future husband. Please get acquainted with the one to whom I will belong in a short time. My mate and my future luna, Elle Parker. ” he tells me with a smile and holding out his hand taking me closer to him. I don't think for a second and I grab his hand and let him pull me towards him and hug me. I've never been so close to a man. I feel overwhelmed by Dominic's closeness.

" Your what?" cried Camilla. “Your mate and your future luna? What about me?" she says, already full of nerves, drawing attention around us.

"I'm sorry Camilla, but I guess you'll have to wait for your future mate or let your father arrange another great marriage for you." I says Dominic seriously.

"But I want you!" says Camilla, hitting the ground hard with her feet.

"And I want my mate. I'm sorry Camilla, I can't help you satisfy your whims. "My dear little lady" says Dominic, looking at me and wrapping his hand around my waist tighter, "let me introduce you to some old friends." and embracing me we begin to move away from Camilla who begins to tremble with nerves.

“You are mine! I don't care if you found your mate. Daddy said you would marry me! ” says Camilla nervously.

"And I've always told you I want my fated mate, which doesn't look like you."

"That won't stay that way“ she yells

"My love, are we going?" says Dominic, making me laugh.

"Of course, my dear." I say entering in his game and shocking him a little when I put my hand around his waist, I stand on tiptoe and kiss him on the cheek.

"This little pervert," says Athena. "Look at how good he feels." and we both start laughing.

All evening we are under the close eye of Camilla and her father who did not miss the opportunity to come and show up and make my "inventory". Who I am, where I am from, how I met Dominic, how I found out we were fated mates. I hope he doesn't realize it's all a game. I don't even want to imagine what would happen, but in any case, after I met Camilla, I won't let Dominic suffer next to such a horrible being.

In the middle of the gala room Dominic holds me in his arms and we dance hugging to the song "All of me". Dominic holds me tight to his chest and doesn't leave me for a second. He strokes my face lightly and puts my hair behind my ear, looking me in the eye without taking his eyes off for a moment. He stares at me.

"Can I kiss you, Elle?" he tells me slowly.

"Ohh, my Goddess," I hear Athena say, "He is here!" Say YES quickly ”

I don't know what she's talking about, but looking Dominic in the eye, I smile and nod slightly without making a sound and he leans slightly towards me, taking my lips in the most tender kiss possible. My first kiss…

Suddenly I feel suffocated. I know who's here, I know what Athena meant.

"Elle, what are you doing here?" I hear him say , and by him..I mean Alpha Brandon Taylor.

I look at him without saying a word. I just look at him and I can't even articulate a simple syllable.

"Alpha Taylor," I hear Dominic say. "Do you know Elle?"

"Of course I do..." Brandon's eyes locked onto me, his gaze sharp. I couldn't help but start trembling, having a premonition that he would say something I didn't want to hear.

A cold smile curled at the corner of Brandon's mouth, his voice carrying a hint of provocation: "Elle Parker, daughter of the beta of the Golden Moon pack. She caused the death of her parents and left her brother living in daily pain and regret. After receiving her wolf, she chose to escape from my pack, and now she appears in your pack..."

Each of Brandon's words was like a thorn, piercing my heart. I clenched my fists, my nails nearly digging into my palms. To him, I seemed full of guilt, but was all of this really my fault?

"Alpha Taylor, I advise you to stop speaking," said Dominic, pulling me into his arms. My heart felt a bit calmer. "Ella is my future Luna, she no longer has any connection with the Golden Moon pack."

"Your what?" said Brandon in shock. "I hope you're kidding."

"No, I'm serious. The Moon Goddess guided me to her. She will become the Luna of Crescent Moon." Dominic's words moved me, and I couldn't help but squeeze his hand. But this action seemed to be noticed by Brandon, whose eyes burned with anger.

Brandon charged at Dominic, grabbing his collar, and said something that made my eyes widen in shock.

"SHE IS MY MATE!"
