As I opened my eyes, Ace was the first person I saw beside me. "Good morning, sir," I whispered softly, knowing he was still asleep. He had stayed over in my room last night.
I got up and adjusted the blanket over him, then quietly slipped out of bed. Grabbing my clothes from the closet, I headed into the bathroom to freshen up. After showering, Ace was still asleep, so I decided to head to the kitchen to ease my hunger pangs.
Yaya Miranda was already preparing breakfast when I got there. "Is Ace still asleep?" she asked as I approached her.
"Yeah," I replied quietly, heading to the coffee station to make myself some hot chocolate. I also started brewing coffee for Ace.
