02 — Little Moments

I woke up and saw that Noah wasn't by my side. The spot he was sleeping on was also cold, which hinted that he left early in the morning. I crawled to the bathroom and freshened up. When I entered the living room, the main door opened, and I saw Noah entering while holding coffee and breakfast. My heart melted at the sight. He approached me and wrapped his arm around me in a warm bear hug. "Goodonin" My voice came out muffled through his hoodie. I deeply inhaled his comforting scent and placed a kiss on his chest. Noah rubbed my back and said in a husky voice, "Very good morning, my sunshine." "I thought you left without saying goodbye." I whispered not liking it a bit when he doesn't wake me up in the morning and leaves. "Now how could I do that, babe?" Noah replied. The vulnerability I've felt since he first left me was acknowledged by Noah's response. He had never done that again after that. But when I didn't see Noah next to me today, I started to experience the same thing. He pecked me on the head, and we parted. He looked so dashing in his 5 a.m. shadow beard that I inched myself up and kissed his chin. Noah smiled at my little gesture and then gently nudged me towards the kitchen counter. "What time is your match?" I inquired while opening the packed food. When he didn't answer me, I curiously looked at him to know what he was doing and saw him pushing the hood back and roughly running his fingers through his hair. I marveled at the Greek God before me and captured a small video of him doing that. It was a beautiful moment, I couldn't miss to admire all my life. "It's going to start in an hour and a half." Noah replied and we ate in silence after that. After finishing breakfast, he pulled his hoodie from one of my bags, which he gave me. (To be precise, I borrowed it from him and didn't give it back.) "Call me if you need anything, okay?" I nodded. He was standing by the door, ready to watch the football game with his pals. Noah lifted me up during the hug and pulled me in a deep kiss. As I pulled away from the kiss, my mind got hazy from lack of air. "Love you... See you soon." We murmured against each other's lips in unison before he left. Closing the door behind him, I walked to the sofa and looked at all the boxes I had opened earlier to arrange. It took me a few hours to organise my stuff in the bedroom and kitchen and 1 extra to arrange the rest of the apartment. I felt proud doing all this on my own, and patted myself on the back. I got so tired from all the work that I went to the couch and collapsed on it. 'Do you need me to come home early, love?' — Bug I picked up my mobile to check on emails but discovered a text from Noah instead. Instantly, a smile spread across my face after reading the text. I must have done extraordinary things in my previous life to deserve a guy like Noah. It's rare to find a guy who texts their girl during their favourite game. Yet here I am, receiving one with a missed call. I recorded a video of the apartment, captured everything and then sent it to my bug. Showing him that I am all done. After a minute, he texted back, advising me that I should rest and he would be back before 7. I replied with an okay and closed my eyes to take a small nap. . I woke up from the sensation of someone touching me, it was Noah though; he was beside me and gently caressing my head. When he noticed me waking up, Noah gave me a soft smile and asked if I had slept well or am I feeling tired after organising? But the weariness dissipated out of the window the moment I saw his radiant smile. "I feel refreshed." Murmuring those words out, I crawled into his lap to embrace him. His arms encircled me and tightened immediately. "How was the match?" I asked while brushing the dried shake crumb off his hoodie. "That was one crazy, intense match, babe. Both teams played exceptionally well. We were neck to neck, you know, babe... It was hard to predict who was going to win the match. At last, our team won... And if you had been there, you would have felt it in your heart—the adrenaline rush, the happiness, everything. Noah spoke with so much enthusiasm. I love hearing him, when he talks about his passion enthusiastically. Even though I don't have much knowledge about the game, it didn't stop me from showing my involvement. "Next time, I am going to take you with me and the boys. They missed you." He told me. I agreed and gave him a wide smile. I missed his friends too. After chatting for some more time, Noah and I planned to go out for dinner. He wanted to eat sushi. When we arrived at the famous food corner, to our surprise, his friends were already there to eat. They called us over to join in. All of them enveloped me in a group hug, but Noah playfully pushed them all away after a few minutes. Noah's hands remained on my hips the entire time we ate our dinner. I lean my head on his shoulder and observe as families and couples enjoying and spending quality time while some who just arrived, ordering. I remember being drawn to an attractive man at one point, but Noah playfully swatted the back of my head. I turned to him and asked the reason behind his action, Noah discreetly pointed towards the guy I was admiring. I blushed deeply for getting caught and murmured, 'sorry'. But Zack also playfully hit Noah's head and asked, "What were you looking at earlier?" This caught my attention, and I turned while crossing my arms in front of my chest, awaiting Noah's answer. Even though I wasn't aware of what had caught his attention, now I know when I saw the girl. "Nothing" He sheepishly replied, pulling me close beside him for a hug and I hid my face in his chest. He then inhaled deeply, savouring the wonderful aroma of my hair before kissing it.
