The questions plagued Royce’s mind as she stood there staring at Calin Preston. There was no other reason for him to visit at such a late hour than to reprimand Royce for something that she did or did not do.
It took a second or so longer than intended to actually decide to let Calin into her abode, but Royce finally moved aside to give him space to enter.
