CHAPTER 13

Bella

Gabriel was playing around with his food and seemed to be enjoying our conversations more than eating “For a guy, you eat real slow! Eat up already, I want you to go through the stuff I got you!” I had to say to get him to force down his meal. “All done! Happy now?” he asked me, and I nodded a yes, and then he said “Let me clear this up and take it downstairs while you get the stuff out of the bags. I want to see what you got, Jacob, too. Be back in a jiffy!”

As soon as he left, I started to unpack excitedly. Gabriel was back quickly, and we started going through Jacob’s stuff first. He was so pleased to see that I had chosen some stuff for them to match. “Jacob is going to be so happy when he sees everything you bought him, especially the basketball. Thank you so much” I tell him as I start packing up Jacob’s stuff back into the bag. He leaned forward and gave me a peck on my lips, smiled lovingly at me, and said that there was no need for Thank Yous as this was just the beginning. “Didn’t you say earlier I have to try out the stuff you got me?” he teased seductively. “Well, uh-huh, I mean, yes, you have to cos what if I got the size wrong and have to have them swopped for the correct one. But you can do it later and let me know in the morning if I have to return anything ” I mumbled and pretended to neaten up his bed, which we were sitting on going through the new clothing. With a huge grin plastered on his face, he got off the bed and took off his tee shirt and said “I want to try them out now ”

I was awestruck! His body is to die for! Perfectly toned abs oozing sexiness and all I could do was stare shamelessly, and from what I could see, he took great pleasure in my reaction! He put on one of the new shirts, leaving it unbuttoned and then as though on a catwalk walked slowly towards the side of the bed where I was sitting. “ Love, you are amazing! Your choices of color, style, and size are perfect. How does it look on me?” Damn him! He’s loving every bit of seeing me drooling over him. He takes my hands and places them both on his bare chest “All of this belongs to you and only you, my love” he says, and then he leans down and kisses me passionately.

The heat between my thighs increased, and my panties were soaked for sure. Should I surrender to the passion he always arouses in me? Ohhhh Heavens, what should I do? No, no, it’s too soon, I can’t do this. I have to stop this now! I pull myself away from him slowly “It’s getting late, I, uh, I h…h…have work tomorrow morning” I stammer breathlessly. “I understand love, I’m sorry if I over stepped ” he said softly as his fingers were stroking my face gently. “No, you didn’t ,I just need some time. Everything just seems to be happening too fast “ I told him. He nodded his head in understanding and asked if he could walk me to my room. I told him I’d be fine and would see him in the morning. With a soft kiss on the lips, I said goodnight and left his room.

I spent most of last night under a cold shower trying to get my big boy to stand down and it turned out to be a difficult task as thoughts of my Bella flooded my mind and her scent filled my room. As much as I desperately crave her body, I will wait till she’s completely ready to be mine. Uncle Joe and I are going to go take a look at the Miller’s property today, and Arianna asked if she could come with. I am going to ask for permission to take Jacob with us . It would be great if my Bella could come too cos I would like her opinion on the place, but she has a shift at the library and then an afternoon shift at the B & B. My woman doesn’t have to work, but I know she will not agree to quit just yet. She loves her independence, and I will not take that away from her.

When I got down to join everyone for breakfast, I greeted everyone and then leaned over and gave my Bella a peck on her lips and said just loud enough for everyone to hear “Good morning my love” Perhaps it was selfish of me but I wanted everyone to know she’s mine. My Bella’s face turned red as she looked at me in shock and then said good morning shyly. I looked around and saw the looks of surprise, but Arianna and Jacob were smiling happily like they just won the jackpot. I just smiled and went to grab some coffee. When I got back, I sat between my Bella and Jacob and explained my plans for the day and asked if I could take Jacob along with me. My Bella said it was fine and that she knew he’d be safe with me. Her trusting me with Jacob was a big deal to me, and I thanked her for doing so. I passed my phone over to her and asked her to load her number and to load mine to hers, which she did without hesitation.

“Bella, can’t you get someone to cover your shift at the library today and come with us? We haven’t been out together in a while. As for the afternoon shift, I am sure Aunt Amber won’t mind if you ask her nicely” Jacob asked pleadingly. I LOVE this kid! He turned to look at me and gave me a wink. “It’s rather last minute, but let’s see what I can do” and took her phone to message someone. She had given me my phone back, and before putting it into my pocket, I checked it. She had miscalled her number from my phone to save on hers. Her number was saved as “My Love” on mine, which gave me a burst of joy on the inside cos it seems that she’s now acknowledging my feelings for her. But now I am curious as to what she has saved me as.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard my Bella’s phone beep, she checked and said that her shift at the Library was covered only to speak to Amber about the afternoon shift in case we don’t make it back in time. I told her not to worry, I would speak to Amber. Before she could refuse, I quickly got up and made my way to Amber. I took the opportunity to speak to Amber about my relationship with my Bella and of my intentions. She was, after all, like a mother figure to both my Bella and Jacob now . She got all emotional and was overjoyed, saying that those two deserved the very best and how grateful she is that I had come into their lives. She even pulled me in for a big hug. After all that, yes, my Bella got the afternoon off!
