Chapter 3 Now, as he rode up to the hitching rail in front of the post office, he heard a ruckus across the road. He reined in his horse when he saw two cowboys come plunging through the swinging doors of the Rough Rider Saloon. As they rolled around in the dirt, the sheriff walked up, breaking up the fight. “All right, who started this?” he growled, looking around at the crowd that had gathered. He got several versions, but when he had it all figured out, he grabbed the troublemaker and hauled him off to jail.
