Shanaia took the interns to rounds after they came out of the intern locker room. Before coming to her shift that day, Shanaia looked through all the patients’ charts to see which ones were the best cases for the intern to work on. And from that, she cross-referenced them with the intern who had the least inclination to the case.
She has also spoken with the other attendings and informed them about her plan with the interns. When Joey introduced Shanaia to all the doctors, they were all surprised that she turned out to be the new chief of general surgery and that she could also be asked for consultation regarding OB and Ortho cases.
