Shanaia’s first day back to work was very eventful. No, she didn’t get to meet all the interns at once as they were flooded with trauma cases. Shanaia on the other hand was packed with all the non-emergency surgeries passed to her because the other surgeons took all the complicated ones, thinking she could only handle the simple ones.
The other attendings thought she was just a new doctor, fresh from her fellowship. All day, Shanaia has taken the witch girl with her to every surgery she takes on. When they were finally able to take a break, they were in the cafeteria having some coffee and a sandwich.
Shanaia was eating as she watched the intern filling out her case log. She noticed that she had filled more than halfway through her form.
