There were no words forming in my mouth, I was processing the words she said. The lady seemed to have a fake smile on her lips whenever I saw her but it was something I could never expect from a mother.
With a tight smile, Rosabella kept looking at her hands. She seemed to be well aware of what was going on inside my head.
"Why she would do that, I do not understand."
"I know, it is hard for you to understand."
"Then tell me why is she doing all of this? And why are you silent about it?" I tried to ask the questions.
"She has a reason to do everything," Rosabella said in a small voice, not looking at me.
"Are you seriously defending her?" I asked, raising my voice slightly.
"I.." but she did not complete her sentence.
I shook my head at her silence.
