Aiden’s POV
I honestly didn’t know that I’d be able to like someone so much again and the thought of it is driving me crazy. I was shocked to come back from work today and not see Davina, and her not coming home till I called her, I felt like she was knowingly avoiding me. I doubt Davina would ever get to like me cause I know I’ve always being a d**k to her.
“Why do I feel like she’s angry with me, But I already apologized, was it not enough?” I asked my self while pacing around my study room.
“I need a drink” I said as I left the study room to my bar. I was happy I didn’t get to see Davina on my way to the bar. I needed to get her off my mind but nothing seemed to work. After a few glasses of wine I went to sleep, probably that’d get her off my mind for a while.
I woke up early the next morning cause I had a flight to catch, I was going to Spain for a business meeting and would be out for about a week or so, I really hated the fact that I’d be away from Davina for that long, I got ready and went downstairs hoping to see her before I left but she wasn’t anywhere in the building. I had to call her and she picked the call immediately her phone rang
“Where are you Davina?”
“Good morning sir, I’m in school”
“By this time?”
“Yes sir, I had work to do here and I put your breakfast in the microwave”
“What work?” “I still had a lot to cover for the exam I have this morning”
“Why didn’t you tell me you were leaving?”
“Sir please can we have this conversation when I get home, I’m really busy at the moment”
I hung up immediately she said that to avoid saying what I might regret later. I angrily left without even eating the food she made. I went on a business trip to Spain and These few days here has being living hell for me, I keep getting distracted with memories from that night with Davina,
“I wonder how she’s doing, I hope her exams are going well?”. I asked myself while staring at her pictures that I got from f*******:. I feel like a crazy stalker, cause I’m basically on her timeline every free time I get.
I finished work here in Spain a few days earlier than expected which made me so happy cause I get to go home and be with Davina. On getting home and finding out that Davina isn’t at home got me pissed off. I missed her so much and it hurt to admit it. I had to call Davina to know her where about
“Sir Aiden are you back?”
“Yes I am”
“I’m on my home sir”
“Okay Davina, I’ll be waiting”
“Okay sir” she said as she hung up. I don’t know if it’s my imagination but Davina sounds so excited to hear that I was back.
“I doubt it, she definitely doesn’t like it cause I know that my coming back is more work to her” I muttered.
I didn’t even notice when Davina got back caused I dozed off while waiting for her.
“Good day sir” she greeted when she woke me up.
“Good day Davina” I said as I stood up to stand so slow to her, I could literally hear her breath, she looked so nervous,
“Why do you look so nervous?” I asked
“I’m not Sir” she said as she tried to step back and I quickly held her waist.
“How have you been?”
“Fine sir, what about you?”
“I wasn’t okay earlier but now that I’ve seen you, I feel much better”
“What was wrong with you sir?”
“Davina, can you do me a favor?”
“What is it sir?”
“Stop calling me sir, call me Aiden, I’m more comfortable with that”
“Okay sir”
“Seriously?”
“I’m sorry sir, sorry I meant Aiden”
“Davina Dalton”
“Sir”
“Did you miss me when I was gone?”
“Sir?”
“My name is Aiden not Sir”
“Okay Sir Aiden”
“Are you making fun of me?” I asked cause I was starting to get pissed.
“Certainly not”
“Why won’t you answer my question Davina” “Nothing..... Aiden”
“Calling me Aiden sounds better, Davina I missed you so much, throughout my stay in Spain you were always on my mind, I literally thought I was going crazy but here you now acting like you didn’t even notice that I was gone”
“You claim that you miss me yet.....
“Claim? Why would you even say that?” “Why won’t I? Do you know how worried I and your girlfriend Alicia was?”
“My girlfriend Alicia?” I asked bursting out in laughter, “Why would you think Alicia is my girlfriend”
“Isn’t that what she is?”
“Hell no” “Then what is she?”
“My younger sister dumb ass” I said still laughing so hard.
“Ohh, I didn’t know”
“How would you?”
“Aiden the point here is that we had no idea of your whereabouts, and you didn’t even see it proper to call any of us and assure us that you’re okay, do you know how worried I was?”
“Davina are you mad at me?”
“Of course I am, who wouldn’t be angry if they’re in a situation like this”
“I’m sorry Davina, honestly I tried to tell you but I get the chance to, I came down this next morning but you already left for school, I called you and you sounded so cold to me, that’s why I ended up not telling you about it”
“It’s not like I have the right to be mad at you, moreover You’re the boss”
“Seriously?”
“Yes sir, the boss is always right”
“Davina why do you keep making things hard for me?”
“Sir please, I need to get some rest, today was a really hectic day for me” she said as she tried walking out.
“I like you Davina Dalton, I know you might doubt me but I really do like you”
“How can you like more than one person the same time?”
“More than one person? I don’t get what you mean”
“The other day that you got so mad at me cause I was in your study room, I saw pictures of you and a lady I’ve never seen. You two looked so in love that I envied to two of you and I wouldn’t want to be the one to come between you guys”
“Death already did” I finally said after few minutes of silence and walked away.
