"Sorry for being late, my ladies and lords," said Enzo as he kneeled down in the middle of the room floor. All of the goddesses and goddesses as well as the Olympians rose from their seats.
"Enzo!" shouted Aurelia. He didn't mind her.
"Rise up, Enzo," said Hugo. He stood up straight as equal to all of the goddesses and gods in the room. "And for the moment, kindly wait there as we are going to announce something after this, and we might need your help."
He nodded politely.
"So, everyone is here?" he asked the people. No one answered. "The King of Olympus is not available for the moment, so Lady Danae and I will be here on his behalf."
"Don't forget about us," said Aurelia while folding her arms.
"Gaghhh!!" gasped Danae as she heard her sister talking while Elder Hugo is speaking.
Hugo just smiled and said, "Of course, Lady Aurelia, and Lady Mila," while nodding twice.
"Hmm...," smiled Aurelia.
"Wow," said Cyrus. "the old dude sure has a lot of patience..."
"Shhh!" hushed Santos.
"Well then," said Hugo. "let's start the meeting." The goddesses and gods bowed before they sat on their seats.
Aurelia sat on his father's throne, so did Mila at her right.
"Hey, creep," said Aurelia. "This is my throne."
"It doesn't have your name on it," she replied.
"Well, I-"
"Shhhh," said Danae from her throne so she looks up towards them. "Behave yourselves."
Aurelia just folded her arms and frowned.
Enzo just stood straight after bowing, then Narada, the God of Games is already in the middle of the room, walking around the fire. He wears a colorful robe and had a messy, curly hair. His shoes were pointed, and he has this exaggerated smile.
"So I am the one who called everyone," he smiled intensely like a jester. "You want to guess why?"
"Just say what it is, Narada," said Hilde.
"Alright, alright," he said bowing his head while walking fast into the middle of the room. "you're no fun." He smiled and put his fingertips together. "My subordinates discovered a new threat! How fun is that? Hahahahaha!" he laughed as the room fell into a noisy chattering. He just put his hands in the air and felt happy about it.
"Nothing's fun about that!" yelled Hilde, but Seok tapped her on the shoulder and she said, "He has to take this seriously!"
Seok just nodded as he understood, and said, "Let him do his thing because it is just the way he is. He just acts like this, but he feels involved just like us."
She nodded and calmed down.
Narada waited for them to quiet down, and when they did, he said, "I received a piece of itsy-bitsy information about these new guys who seemed to have formed an interesting organization!" He jumped in excitement like a child. Then there were chattering again.
"Alright," said Seok. "What have you got on it so far?"
"Glad you asked!" He took a deep breath and said, "None."
Then the officials were enraged of him. Hilde put her palm on her forehead.
"What?"
"Stop joking around!"
"You just wasted our time!"
"Fool!"
"I just lost an undeniable contract so that I can attend this meeting!"
"I have my properties to look after!"
"NO, All of you are fools!" spoke Mila in a high voice, then they were all startled by her presence that has been dormant until now. "His Lord Narada just gave us a hint on what could possibly shake the whole Realm! And here you are with your own arses worrying about your properties, and your time!"
Aurelia just nodded while sitting and watching her sister standing in front of her.
"Mila!" said Danae, but she was stopped by Seok.
"She has a sharp wit for a child," said Cyrus to Santos and he replied with a nod. "And a sharp tongue." He laughed quietly.
Narada just smiled and looked happy while bowing his head to Mila.
"Reincarnated, but still scary," whispered a man among the officials to the man beside him.
"Yeah," agreed the man in a whisper. "that's the daughter of the King for you."
Mila sat back on the throne, still looking disappointed, and muttered, "I thought I was gonna learn something if I went here."
Aurelia just patted her head. "Calm down, ma sista..."
Narada returned to his seat cheerfully.
"Lady Mila is right!" added Seok as he stood. "There's no doubt that the information Lord Narada shared to us is legitimate and true. And it just serves us the advantage to act on it right away. Continuing to what Lord Narada said about 'None,' it only means that we have to find out what exactly this new organization is. So I, as the Secretary of Olympus, has never had a record of this new organization. It is just that we call it an unofficial organization. And by the laws of Olympus, this organization is considered rogue!"
Then there were chattering again. It lasted for a few seconds and Hilde stood up and spoke: "So if that's that, the first step is to gather information."
The officials answered,
"Aye!"
"Aye!"
"So, where do we start, my lady?" asked someone.
"Lord Narada," she said. "where did your informant get this information?"
"Oh, Hehe," he scratched his head. "At a bar."
She closed her eyes in disappointment, and Seok sweated. "At a bar?" she asked.
He nodded.
"And where is that exactly?"
"Far to the East." He pointed to the window, which is the east.
"So there we go," said Hilde. "we got it narrowed down into one continent."
"That makes it," said Seok. "the governors of the East will see the collection of information about this organization. While the rest will watch over their assigned territory if ever this organization also has ties there. The reports shall be given in every three days, but report at once when you found direct information. So that's that, and we will summon all of you again if necessary. Thank you for your time."
Hundreds of governors flooded the door as they exited. Enzo just waited, as he feels that the Olympians still have more to talk about, specifically to him. It took a while before the last official finally left.
It's him and the fourteen deities inside the war room.
Aurelia, Mila, and Danae felt uneasy for him.
That's when Hilde spoke. "Enzo, I heard you have found an apprentice."
"That's right, my lady," he answered.
"And he is a demigod?"
He nodded.
"Do you know the law?"
"Yes, my lady."
"Then why?"
"I found potential in him," he answered quickly.
The three sisters were not that surprised like the rest of the Olympians, for they already met the boy.
"What exactly is his potential?" asked Selena. "What you, a demigod know of it?"
"His will. And I know enough," he answered with a straight voice.
"Anything else?" asked Ashe.
Enzo fell silent.
"So, you came here to tell us Enzo," he said. "that you just took him in because of his will, and you think you know a thing about potential? What kind of potential are you looking for? A dreamer?"
"Could be," he said.
Ashe looked at Alina while shrugging, and she laughed gently while trying to hide it. Danae felt something wrong, but she doesn't have enough confidence to speak against them. Aurelia cannot understand what they are talking about. Mila knows, but she chose to keep quiet.
Ashe said, "You're a god and you are supposed to make another deity be your apprentice. You are clearly going against that."
"No, I think, my lord," he said with his head up high. "I am not a god, because I was born with no Prime Power, and I will definitely not gonna become a god. I am not treated like a god here anyways, and also, it will be just like me, a demigod having another demigod as my apprentice."
"Lord Enzo," spoke Hugo. "You are a god by the King's command, so it makes you, definitely a god."
"If that's it then, Elder Hugo," said Alina. "then he has to give up on that demigod apprentice of his, or else face expulsion from Olympus."
"No!" spoke Aurelia as she can't take it anymore.
"And please get these children out of this meeting, they are really a bother. Would you be kind, Lady Danae?"
"No," she answered. "They are here on behalf of the King."
"Sheesh... Such a loving sister, and a lover."
Danae felt provoked and raised her voice. "Speak again, and I will-"
"What will you do, Lady Danae?" asked Selena. "You will show us your wrath? I beg you not to, because things can go messy."
"Guys...," said Aiko while trembling. "please don't fight."
"Woah, woah...," said Cyrus.
"Please don't fight in this room," said Heron. "My masterpieces will be ruined!"
"Stop it," said Seok, and they settled down. "This is not how we resolve things in this room. The King isn't here, and you have to act like he is here even if he really isn't. This problem will not be resolved by violence."
"It would've been fun to bet who wins," said Narada to himself.
"Now," said Seok. "let's continue with Enzo's case. Tell us Enzo, who is this apprentice of yours?"
"Leonide Padine, the God of Gravity."
"All of the people...," said Heron. "Do you want that monster to become stronger?"
"He's not a monster," said Enzo.
"He is a monster that killed thousands of people in one night."
"He isn't the one who did it."
"But that monster will be waking up inside of him anytime," said Alina. "You are reckless."
"No, my lady. He has the will to fight it."
"And how do you prove it?"
He didn't answer.
"Just as I thought, you didn't think this through."
"So that does it then," said Ashe. "You choose either expulsion or have that boy your apprentice."
"Then I'll be expelled," said Enzo. "So be it."
The three Fourth Seats smiled in satisfaction, while the rest of them picked no sides, and the three sisters were against it.
"What's going on?" asked Aiko anxiously.
"I have a little proposal," said Narada while rubbing his palms. "Why don't we make a bet?"
"Not with his games again...," complained Heron.
"Oh, it is a very good one!" he said while giggling.
"Okay, let us hear it," said Seok.
Most of the goddesses and gods facepalmed.
"For a god of wisdom, that's not very wise," said Selena.
"Since the identity of the God of Gravity is confusing," said Narada. "we should make a bet on whether or not to call him a god."
"That's interesting...," said Ashe while yawning.
"Right?" He laughed. "The bet will depend on how will he do in the Inter-district Demigod Tournament."
"He's right," added Hugo. "Fighting against the best of the demigods and winning it, will show that he is worthy to be a god here on Olympus."
All of them thought about it. Some even discussed it with their fellow Olympians.
"That could work," said Danae.
"So," said Hilde. "in other words, if the boy becomes a pledged god, then Enzo's expulsion will be revoked. And if the boy fails, he will be expelled from Olympus."
"Do we have a deal?" asked Narada. while putting up a smile.
All of them nodded.
"Wohooo!" he celebrated while jumping up and down.
"With that, this meeting is officially over," said Seok then all of them rose from their seats. They walked to the door and passed by Enzo.
"I feel pity for him," said Selena. "the boy will never win it."
"Yeah," agreed Ashe. "the odds are against him."
Then Narada passed by Enzo and said, "They bet on the boy losing, but I bet on him winning." He stopped at Enzo's side. "And I tell you, I never lose my bets." He laughed and left.
"Enzo!" called Aurelia as she flashed to get in front of him. "I don't want you to get banished from Olympus! Back off from being the mentor of that kid now!"
Danae and Mila were behind her when he said, "Don't worry, I will make sure he won't lose."
Aurelia's jaw dropped.
