The Goddesses

Athena District, my hometown. It is one of the nine human districts that surround the mountain of Olympus. It is located in the west. I always wake up early in the morning to see the magnificent view of the sunrise, as it rises above Olympus. It just made me love to see what it is like up there each time I do. The districts were named after the original Olympians, including Hades (Accepted as another member of the Olympians). Starting from the west in a counter-clockwise, we have my hometown, Athena, then Apollo, Ares as the one directly in the south. Artemis, Demeter, Aphrodite as directly in the south. Dionysos, Hermes, Hephaistos as in the east. And Hera, as the biggest district that occupies most of the northern part. At the foot of Mt. Olympus, is where the demigods live. There is a wall between the "Demigod Districts" - as they call it, and the Human Districts, as to separate the humans from the children of gods and demigods. Nobody questioned why we must be separated from them, and why we aren't allowed to enter that district. We just acknowledged their power and obeyed.
The districts inside that wall are composed of only three. Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, as the three most powerful gods that ever lived. Even if they have a smaller population compared to us humans, the area they cover is equivalent to the area that we occupy. As I saw on the TV and what my teachers told me, they all live in mansions and most families own hectares of land. Their luxuries have been acquired out of their service to the gods, providing them a force to command in times of conflict. The gods wage them very beautifully, that is why all of them are very rich.
I really want to see their beautiful fields in person, but I can't because I'm a human.
The demigods have inherited their physical prowess from the gods. It is called the "Olympian Strength." Their body is durable as the gods, as well as the sharpness of the senses, the speed, and strength, but no demigod have ever been able to become an Olympian in physical prowess alone as far as I know.
Now, I am here in my room, trying out the power I discovered. It is some kind of power that can repel and attract things around me. My room is a complete mess.
"Yahoo!" I shouted in joy. "I will show those bullies my power! I will teach them a lesson!" I frowned for a second. "But father said that I shouldn't beat up other kids, because I am only taught how to fight only for self-defense.... But he didn't say anything about using my new powers!"
I went out of the house. "Let's go!"
I am very excited to show them all....
I went on my way to the playground. It was midday and it is very hot. I sweated considerably as I walked for twenty minutes. Oh, my gods.... it is too hot! I went under the tree inside the playground. I sat under it and used my hand as a fan. I feel my scalp is very wet.
Then I saw the three bullies that I think who pushed me yesterday. They gathered at the swing that I rode, and there's a girl on it this time. She wore a black jacket and a black skirt. Her short hair is also black. That's a lot of blacks. Contrastly, she's got very pale skin. I never saw her here before...
"Hey!" said the fat bully. "We said, get out of that swing!"
"This is our territory!" said a tall one. "You must obey us, or we will beat you up!"
I went to them, and the stout one grabbed her arm. She is not moving from the swing as she grabbed onto the chain.
"Stop!" I shouted, and they turned to me. "You're picking a fight with a girl? What are you, girls?"
"Mind your own business, nerd!" said fatty. "Do you want to go home bleeding again?"
I laughed very hard at them, and they laughed at me. I suddenly stopped and put a straight face.
"I am not the same as I was yesterday," I said proudly. "I am a god now!"
There was a moment of silence before they busted into laughter. The girl didn't react at all.
"i***t!" said stouty. "Have you gone crazy?"
"No! It's true!"
"Well, show us."
I concentrated while closing my eyes and I felt the force.
I opened my eyes, and they aren't surprised.
"So where is it?" asked the tall one.
"I did it just now!"
They laughed at me again.
"We saw nothing, i***t!"
"But I did! You just can't see it!"
They laughed some more.
"Go home, dude."
They were about to punch the girl when I ran near them and used my attractive force. They all stuck to me.
"Ha... ha... ha...." I laughed with a deep forced voice. "You see my power now?" They tried to push me away, but they just came back after their struggle. The fatty tried to walk away as if he is climbing a mountain, but then he slipped and coming towards me at a speed.
"Oh no!" I said, and the other two struggled to get away from me as soon as possible. I tried to stop my powers, but I don't know how!
I just screamed as his butt was coming towards my face! I fell down on the ground, and he was sitting on my face, but thank goodness my eyeglasses flew as soon as the impact happened. I can't breathe! I felt the other guys are not sticking to me anymore, and I think my power has deactivated.
I gasped for air as soon as fatty got off of me. His but stinks!
"He really has a power!" he said.
"Run!" said the tall one. Then they ran away, scared of my might!
I stood up as soon as I found my glasses on the ground. I looked at the girl, she's still swinging back and forth on the swing.
"No need to thank me, lady," I said. "I am the epitome of chivalry!" I kneeled down before her and said, "I am Leonide Padine. May I ask what is your name?" I just realized I am getting carried away when she ignored me.
There was a lightning strike on the lamp post, behind her. My ears rang, because of the thunder. I fell down and covered my ears in pain.
"Found ya.....," said the girl on the lamp post, while she swings her legs back and forth. I saw her golden hair as the sun shines down on her, and I think the two of them are about my age. "You're giving me too much trouble, Mila. Father is gonna lose his temper if you keep doing this... Not that I care...."
She was ignored too.
The lightning girl must be a goddess. Not just her looks, but that power... is almost the same as the gods of Lighting. A power from Zeus himself. That legendary power! And this Mila, is she a goddess too?
I want to make sure, so I asked, "Are you-"
"The Goddess of Lightning, Aurelia, and yes, I heard your name, Leonidas, and it's an unsuitable name for a nerd. I don't care that you exist."
Oh, that hurts, and oh, that's a Spartan legend, that's not my name, so I said, "It's-"
"Mila, let's go!" she said as she jumped off the lamp post, and acted like a tomboy. Maybe she is...
Mila turned her calm face into a frown, flew away, and rode on a black smoke! This power! She's the Goddess of Death! Wow! I met two legendary gods in the making this day! This could be fate!
Maybe.... I could get a reward from them, so I said, "Do I get a reward for helping-"
"Her?" there she is again. It is like she's reading my mind. "No, you helped your friends."
"They're not-"
"If you didn't stop them, they would've been sent to the Underworld."
"LISTEN TO WHAT I-" Oh no! I raised my voice against a goddess.
She looked serious and walked towards me. I am frozen in fear while walking backward until I bumped into a pole, and her face is close to mine. I adjusted my glasses while trembling.
She looks like she's examining me. "Are you a god?" she asked.
"Uh, no...," I answered nervously.
"Hmm... a demigod?"
"No..."
"I sense a power from you," she said as she grabbed my arm and lifted me up to inspect my body. I tried to get out of her grip, but she's too strong.
"Please spare me!" I pleaded.
"Relax, I am not gonna kill you. I don't kill weak people."
I felt insulted! "I take that back! I am not-"
"What's your power?" She asked as she looked at me in the eyes. Her eyes are bright blue, I went to look the other way.
"I don't know."
She looked at me suspiciously. "I don't have time to deal with you right now. I think I will just report this to my father. See you again, Leonidas."
"It's Leonide!"
She laughed and flashed with the color of yellow, then she became the lightning that went straight to the clouds. My ear rang again.
