Blaze was over heating. His car blew white steam under the closed hood. He wiped the back of his neck and got out of the old tan sedan that Leo had provided for him. He kicked the tire,"Piece of junk!" He grabbed his cellphone and tried to call Leo. There was no signal. He would be late meeting his contact. He put his back pack over one shoulder and started walking into the rain forest. He was greeted by some loud chirping and cawing birds. He looked around. It was truly paradise here. He looked for a better path than the main road. He felt too vulnerable out in the open. Blaze followed a trail near the main road. He walked through the thickening brush and grabbed a thick vine. It moved in his hand. " Eee. gah!" He threw it, it was a green snake. Blaze jumped back onto the road and tried to keep alert for on coming cars. He looked ahead, the sun was setting. He really had no choice but to sleep in the thick vegetation tonight. He walked into the rain forest. He scanned a large tree for shelter underneath and sat with his back up against the trunk. He removed a piece of fruit from his bag and ate in the loud forest. So many animals were in there. Blaze drank some water and put his head down on his chest to sleep. The sky opened up and started to rain down on him. He was fairly dry under the umbrella of the large tree. Unfortunately the creatures that lived there liked it dry too. He felt a large bug crawl over his head. He shivered and covered his head with his back pack. A big spider went across his shoe. He jerked. It took him along time to go to sleep. He shut his eyes and took a nap. The sound of a motorcycle woke him up. Someone was calling him. "Jason! Jason! Can you hear me?" A strong looking woman approached. She had muscles and a lean torso. She looked like a gladiator. She was holding a long automatic rifle. He moved slowly and snuck up behind her. He put his own hand gun to her back. " Who's looking for Jason?" She whipped around and knocked him down with her foot hooking his leg and pulling his leg forward. He sat down hard on his butt. She had some how gotten his gun as well. He jumped up, spun around and took out his boot knife. He swung his leg out and kicked her back, right in the gut. She fell to the earth. She laughed. "Leo said you were good." She handed him his gun back, butt first and stood up, dusting off her green cargo pants. This woman had jet black hair in a tight bun and green eyes. She was interesting to look at. She was very intense. He nodded and took her hand. She pumped it up and down, firm grip."Helen Marrow, CIA." He nodded. "Jason Blaze, under cover with Seattle PD on special assignment." She nodded, he was very handsome. He would melt your heart in a hot second. She said, "Let me get you up to speed Jason." " Blaze, call me Blaze."He replied. She thought, yes like a hot, hot, fire! He was wearing a wedding ring. She twisted her lips sideways. Darn. Blaze listened to her talk. "We don't have much time for chit chat. I've been looking for you. I found your car. It looks like a pile of crap. You sure Leo Likes you?" He grinned. "I left him with my wife." She felt a glimpse of hope then. Leo was a huge womanizer. None could resist his charms. Blaze just might be single when he returned to his wifey. Blaze sneered. "Seraphina is not the kind to cheat. She's quite loyal. We've know each other all our lives." Helen grinned. "Leo could care less about your marraige vows. He thinks with only one thing, his thingy." Blaze laughed. "Hmm. Poor guy. I kind of feel sorry for him now, hope she let's him down easy." One thing that he was 100 percent sure of was his wife's loyalty to him. Seraphina..... Carlos Leo Nuevo, CIA placed a hand on Sera's shoulder and rubbed her there. She groaned. "Yes! Please. More! More!" He was getting exited now. He never seen someone this excited to get so dirty. She waited for it. He said are you sure, Blaze might get mad?" Sera said Leo, do it now. He nodded, "Okay if you insist." Leo rubbed nut butter on Sera's shoulders and arms and poured a large pile of bird seed on her body. A large flock of red and yellow tropical birds came flying down from the canapy above. Sera was giggling."More, pour more on me. All over." He did as she asked. He made a huge mess. Blaze wouldn't like this mess everywhere. Birds flocking, drawing attention to them. Sera was in heaven. She loved being covered in birds. She closed her eyes and the fig pendant she wore around her neck lit up bright white. Leo moved back, staring at her. She was totally unaware that the necklace was glowing. His mouth opened then. He murmured. "Bruxa! Makumba?" He wondered if she was a devil witch practicing her magic. Sera smiled as the birds fled back into the trees above. She looked at Leo seeing his fear of her. She reached out to him and he back away falling in the sand behind him. He stood up, turned and ran off. Sera looked around her. "Was it something I said?" Leo didn't return until he calmed down. Sera has gone to bed. She heard a knock on the door. She opened it groggily, thinking Leo had returned. Two men put a sheet over her head and grabbed her then. She barely had time to think. She was taken into a car and thrown into the back seat. She felt the car drive off. She felt around for a way out. She couldn't find a way to get the door opened. She rubbed her temples then. Hoping to get a reading. She felt tendrils of a dream she'd had. This was the bad dream she had before She didn't care for this one. She knew it would be a while before she saw Leo again. She was going to meet a very dangerous man. She thought about it. Manny, Man, maybe, Manuel-something like that. She didn't know how right she was. The two men were tasked to deliver the witch to drug cartel leader Manuelo Deigo. He was very interested in the witch he'd heard about from two of his men. He would use her to protect him, his Mafia run empire. She would do his bidding. Leo came back an hour too late. The door was wide open. She was gone. He failed to protect her. He was kicking himself for being scared, like a little boy. He ran away when he saw her magic. His mother had warned him to stay clear of witches. She had instilled a deep fear in him. He needed time to remember that Sera was an angel and wouldn't hurt anyone, on purpose. He rubbed his head, thinking about how to track her. He noticed marks in the sand. Bird seed, leading to tire marks. He leaned down and touched the ground. Nut butter. Sera was taken in a jeep. He recognized common jeep tire marks. Jeeps tended to have deeper, rounded marks. He would follow them. He got on his motorcycle and followed slowly in the sand. He saw they turned right, onto the paved road. He lost the tracks after this. He texted Helen, hoping she would not tell Blaze. He knew Blaze would come right back here and beat his ass. Blaze.... Helen took Blaze to her hide out. She had a small home in the middle of no where. She stopped him suddenly from taking a step forward. "Blaze look, trip wires. Here and there. Be careful." She had set up the wires to alert her of intruders. Blaze nodded and stepped over the tight wires. He was glad she showed him where to go. He trusted her a little more now. Helen opened the door and shooed out a big spider, knocking the web down. Blazes eyes grew and he shuddered. Helen smiled, "My other security system. No web, means someone has been here." He was learning. He took out his knife and picked up a centipede tossing it out the door. "Another trap?" He asked. " No just a creepy bug, ooh, yuck. I hate those ones!" She shuddered. They were learning each other's weaknesses. .
