I felt like my eyes were playing tricks on me. Maybe I had worked too many hours this week that I was hallucinating.
"Surpirse."
Sophia nudged me, pulling my eyes from the site in front of me. I noticed everyone was looking at me waiting for my reaction. "What are you waiting for?" She said, beaming at me. I looked back at Enzo standing by the doors to the entrance of the ward, still in his uniform. Just standing looking at me smiling with a bunch of flowers.
I got up from my seat and ran over to him. I jumped into his arms, and it took me a minute to realize I was crying.
"God I've missed you." He said, holding onto me like I was going to disappear. But I didn't care because I was holding onto him, like when I finally realized what was actually happening, he was going to disappear
