Aramis Bronx Davina "Aramis, Dahlia, Loane, come here and grab your plates!" Thalia called before giving us some wooden plates. "I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to dive into that banquet!" Dahlia mumbled before running together with Thalia. "Having some bad feelings about this?" Loane suddenly asked so I flinched before shrugging at her. "N-No no, I'm happy seeing this but isn't it odd serving this to us most especially their treatment of our kind? Peasantians and middletians," I brought up, which made her nod to me. "I'm thinking the same thing, that's why I'm hesitating to eat though it's really appetizing that I want to jump in," Loane looks like she's about to drool, so I just chuckled and raised our plates. "Come on, let's stop punishing ourselves and join them," I invited her, so she just nodded before going after me to get some food. I'm not going to lie, but the foods that they served us were absolutely amazing, it feels like I've met the greatest chefs from this time. I didn't feel ashamed of myself when I also hid numerous fresh apples on my small bag and some energy bars I saw on some plates together with those weird-looking candies. I was looking for bottled water but only saw glass ones that are sealed with fake gold, so I just took in five bottles. I don't know why I did this, but I don't like eating unflavored biscuits when I don't have anything to do. The rest of the breakfast was fun because we all enjoyed it together, the richtians and nobles were nowhere around probably because they're breakfast hall we're different from us. We all rested for an hour and our trainers went to greet us just in time for us to digest our foods and move without feeling any cramps. "Hey guys, if you don't mind me asking, but where are we training today?" I asked, feeling a little bit sleepy because I just ate a lot a while ago. "Where else? We're always training under the sun, right? So, it's right here on the castle training grounds," Loane mumbled while pointing at the castle training grounds which made my eyes widen. "W-What?! W-We're training under the sun?!" I exclaimed that surprised them for a moment, are they freaking serious right now? They want me to train under the sun? There's no way in hell that I'll do that! "Okay, that's it I'm out of here," I was about to walk away when Dahlia grabbed my shoulders, the harshness of her hands was to be felt even though it was just light. "Where do you think you're going?!" Dahlia asked, her plumped lips were pouting at the sight of me leaving. "To the quarters, where else? I don't want to train under that freaking sun! There's no way in hell I'll get sticky smelly sweat!" I argued, and they all looked at me with confusion. "Err...W-We don't understand some of those words, but we can't let you go back there without burning those that you ate a while ago!" Dahlia pulled my clothes, which made me complain. "No! Let me go! There's no way I'll be underneath the sun!" I almost cried, but Dahlia was too strong enough to drag me away. "A-Argh! Dahlia! Let me go!" I complained and almost successfully escaped because of my brute strength, but those three pulled me by force. I wanted to cry, but my senses noticed that a lot of warrioress were approaching this place and they're probably the richtians and nobles who were done resting and eating their breakfast. They halted after seeing us middletians and nobles gathered up early in the training grounds with smiles on our faces. "Oh would you look at that, these specks of dirt on the palace look like they're having a great time," the nobles and richtians laughed. "Enjoy it while it lasts," they mumbled before smirking as they walked confidently in the middle of the training grounds. "Tsk! It seems like they know something, we're at a disadvantage at some point," Dahlia pouted before letting me go, I weep because I'm underneath the sun. "Don't mind them, you know how much they want to crush our spirits down," Loane said, which made me agree with her. "Gather up everyone, the trainer of the warriors is here," one of us bowed down, so we did the same and waited for someone to arrive. Damn it! It's so freaking hot here! My sweats are already forming on my forehead! Why am I still alive standing in the middle of the sun?! I don't like this! I want to be away from the sun! I was about to escape again when I heard a deep serious voice talking which instantly made the whole crowd silent. "A pleasant morning to everyone, we hope you have enjoyed your breakfast," the trainer of the warriors smirked, "Lift your heads, ladies, we're finally starting this day," we did as he told us and he looks like a trusted person of the palace.  "I'm Herald Kraig, Captain, and Head of the warrior's den for men, I'm sure my name is very well known to some of you," he introduced himself before gesturing his hands to look at the weapons on the wooden tables not so far before us and examined them. "Do you know what these weapons are for?" He raised a big hammer like it was nothing to him. How can he do that?! Is he superman? "For war?" one of us answered, but the trainer just shook his head before pointing at different weapons. "I'm afraid that's not the only reason, war here from another Kingdom is impossible to happen because the way through our kingdom is like a gateway to the Underworld," he explained before peering at us intently. "These weapons are used for specific beasts lurking outside of our Kingdom, each beast that we have encountered has a specific weapon we have to use to defeat it and those came from their decayed bodies and bones," he explained which made my eyes widened. "Beast? What is he talking about? What kind of beasts?" I whispered to Loane, Dahlia, and Thalia which made their eyes widen. "Are you serious? You coined the title vigorous bedridden warrioress after defeating the anaconda beast! Don't tell me you can't remember it either?!" Dahlia almost screamed, but thankfully Loane restrained her mouth before she could voice that out. What? I know I've heard it somewhere, but did I really defeat a big anaconda beast? That would swallow 20 people at one attack! I bit my lower lip, "W-Well, yeah I really don't remember," I admitted, which made their heads shake in disbelief. "I-I should be offended because if I were facing that vicious big beast, I would die of a heart attack and would never forget that life and death incident!" Dahlia exclaimed while pacing back and forth with her hands on her waist. "Give her some time, she just woke up last night after all," Loane laughed together with Thalia which made me sigh. "If you really didn't remember, our Kingdom is placed in the middle of a dangerous forest where ferocious giant beasts are living around that can attack our Kingdom," she paused before looking at me intently.   "That's why us warriors and warrioress are very important to our people and that's why our King was chosen by his strength and intelligence of leading a kingdom," Loane explained, which made my eyes widened. This Kingdom is placed in the middle of death? I mean where could an anaconda come from aside from forest or endangered Amazons. That explained a lot, warriors can't lead a Kingdom unless these people entrusted their lives to them and made them King or Queen. At least that's what I read in some of my books before in my past life. "King Samael is the first one who defeated a hundred giant beasts in one day, he's like an immortal devil," Thalia added, which made us both look at her intently. "What? Are you freaking serious?!" I exclaimed that it captured the attention of the whole warrioress on the castle grounds including our trainer. Some of the nobles and richtians were chuckling from the manner that I did while the trainer was discussing. "Well, it looks like the bedridden warrioress who defeated the biggest anaconda we have ever seen has something to say," the captain of the warriors glared at me. "Please step forward," he ordered, which made me gulp. I glanced at each other sides and all of the sudden, Dahlia, Loane, and Thalia disappeared from beside me. "Gee, thank you so many guys," I breathed and noticed them from behind. They're just raising their peace signs while waving at me. "Well, Lady Davina? What are you waiting for? Please step forward," Mr. Herald Kraig called for the second time, so I just sighed and stepped forward with my head up. Judgemental eyes were eyeing my idle presence, but I remained walking with my head high because I know that I have committed a mistake. My eyebrows furrowed, feeling the sun warming up my whole body, this is ridiculous. I don't know why I lasted this long beneath the sun. "So, is there something you wanted to say that you're not listening to my reminders?" his eyebrows raised upon his question, which made me sigh while shaking my head before bowing. "No Captain, and I was listening very carefully," I admitted though, I only heard his voice faintly from my position a while ago. Surprisingly, I can hear clearly from a very wide radius. "Hm? If so, what did I say?" It looks like he knew I was lying, so I just sighed before raising my head to him and everyone. "The Devon Kingdom is placed in the middle of a dangerous forest where ferocious giant beasts were lurking, and the weapon you presented to us right now has specific uses for different giant beasts, for example," I walked towards the table and raised a familiar katana sword that this Aramis used from before, this looks similar to what she used to kill that anaconda. If my memories of her past are accurate, I think she slashed its head with this katana-looking sword while riding it. She stole it from someone in their village. "This was the one I used to kill an anaconda," I blurted out, so rumors from the crowd started rising before I put it down where it belonged and bowed my head. "I'm sorry for causing such a commotion, it will never happen again Captain," I sincerely apologized though my blood is boiling because it's freaking hot because the sun is bright and out. "Apology accepted, and I expect you not to repeat it, Lady Davina," he raised his tone, which made me nod at him. "Understood, I'll go back to my position," I was about to leave when he called me again before tapping my shoulders. "Oh wait, you're just in time for the next lesson," he paused before gathering some of the equipment from the table. "I was about to execute how to use some of these weapons. Would you mind being a volunteer?" he requested and even if I said no, I would be forced to accept it. So I just sighed before nodding at our captain, he looks terrifying when he's mad but when he's smiling it feels like a different person. Just like their Devil King. "Glad to hear you wouldn't mind, now to your position!" I stood still after he said those words, my mind was panicking but I kept my facade calm. Holy crap, what was that position?! "Alright, let us all see how much you have improved Lady Davina, despite you sleeping for several months," our trainer announced out of the blue after getting the practice weapon that he got from the tables and I almost panicked because he started to walk towards me. A faint memory flashed before my mind as my body followed that specific position that I should do. It was exactly at the moment he attacked with a long sharp edge sword on his hands when that happened, and I realized I don't have any weapon in my hands, so I defended myself by kicking the sword from his bare hands. The movements were quick but to me, it feels like it was all slow motion. After I kicked his hands to lose its grip on the sharp edge sword, I backflipped because I knew he would use his feet to kick me away, I hold out my breath before catching the sword up that fell above me on the other side while breathing in the air that I had lost from my almost panic breakdown. That was a freaking close one! The Captain looked off guard towards what I did, he even backed away from me with a smile plastered on his still surprised face. "Well done, I never actually imagined for you to know how I will attack you, I'm impressed," the trainer said while clapping his hands, so the rest of the warrioress clapped their hands except for the richtians and nobles who looked bothered at what they saw before them. I gasp for air before holding out on my knees. Damn it! The sun is so freaking high! I hate this warmth! I hate the sunlight! To be continued...
