The Vampire Prince's Sacrificial Mate

“No... please spare me, your grace. I haven’t done anything wrong to receive such harsh treatment.

I have been loyal to your kind since the beginning. How can you suddenly decide to kill me? This is unfair!”, the useless human yelled at top of his lungs.

His face was covered with tears and sweat. Is dying so painful? Why is he acting in this manner?

This man is someone who used to work as a spy for me in humankind, but now he is useless for me.

“Why do you want to live so much? Tell me the reason and I might spare your neck, Fred. Give me one good reason.

I am giving you ten seconds and if I don’t like the reason then I can’t promise you anything. Your time starts now, Fred”, I asserted to him in a deep voice while I was sitting on the throne.

The whole place was covered in darkness, but it doesn’t affect me at all.

Darkness is something that never leaves me. Not even when I don’t want to be surrounded by it. Why are humans so obsessed with long life?

It’s tiresome for me to always show them their place in front of us.

I am bored by listening to their pleas whenever they fail to face us in any fight.

I don’t know why do they even try to stand against us in the first place.

“My grace, do anyone needs some kind of reason to live?”, he responded to me in a panicked tone.

I titled my head whilst looking at him and then I kept my one leg over the other with a smirk on my face, “Now, you have five seconds left, Fred.”

“No.. no...  I have a family. They must be waiting for me”, he begged me and after that, he dashed in my direction.

He immediately held my left foot while sitting on the floor.

Family? What a funny concept. He wants to live just for his family. Does he think that I will seriously believe his words?

“So, you want to live for your family, but the question is Fred that if your family wants you to live or not.

Let me call your wife to see what exactly she wants. Edith, bring his wife in the hall”, I announced in a calm voice whilst drinking the wine from the glass.

Edith is one of the people who are close to me. He can do anything on my single command. He is one of my closest aides.

Edith brought the woman into the hall and she started to tremble the moment her eyes met mine. I am bored by such scared expressions.

“Husband, why did they bring me here? I haven’t committed anything wrong”, the woman cried out loud whilst dashing towards her husband’s direction.

They are making me sick by the loving atmosphere which is surrounding them. Oh, let’s see how long this is going to last.

I snapped my fingers and one of the maids came forward with a bag full of gold coins in her hands.

She bowed her head and then she gave me the bag without raising her head.

“Are you done with all your sentimental dialogues, woman as I am already bored by your pathetic performance?

If you are done crying then I have a great offer for you, my lady. You see here.

This is a bag full of gold coins and doesn’t worry as I will give you more, but you need to do one thing for me and that’s left that man and become my woman instead.

Isn’t this deal quite tempting for you”, I told her in a cold voice while glancing at her with a smirk on my face.

After hearing my words, she got stunned for a moment, but after gathering her thoughts, she finally smiled while looking at me.

She left Fred's arms and dashed towards me. The woman then sat on my lap and looked at Fred with an annoyed look in her eyes.

“I can’t believe that I got the chance to become the Vampire prince’s woman. Fred, you were always useless trash for me.

I can’t believe that my parents arranged my marriage with you. I mean, if only my lover didn’t run away then maybe the things might have been different and honey one more thing.

Those children are not yours. You know, I got quite lonely when you played the part of the useless spy.

So, kept myself entertain with our neighbour. You must be thinking that why I am telling you all of this now, right?

You see, you are going to be killed and is not that cold-hearted to not disclose this to you even when you are going to die.

Now, I will live a luxurious life and with such a handsome man on top of it. Everyone will get jealous... Ahhh.. no... no", the woman yelled whilst I thrust my fangs in her neck.

After sucking her dry, I pushed her dead body on the floor while cleaning the side of my mouth.

“Woman, you talk too much. My ears were kind of getting pained because of that irritating voice of yours”, I asserted in a husky voice while looking towards the dead body of the woman.

Fred was only standing in the same position while his face turned completely pale.

Is he getting sad because of his wife death or is he sad because she cheated on him? I told him that woman is the kind of person who should never be trusted.

Women are the main reason for every war and I am aware of this thing for quite some time now. 

They are born to deceive people. Their existence should be limited to taking care of men and nothing else.

“How can you kill my wife, my grace? She must be shocked and that’s why she blurted out those words.

How can you... no... wife... come back to me”, he yelled in a loud voice while grabbing the woman’s body in his embrace

Why is he getting so much emotion for such a thing? I can’t understand humans and neither I am interested in knowing them.

I sighed and signalled Edith to take the man away.

What should I do now? He failed to report me about the important issues and yet he dreamt that I will let him live. How funny, isn’t it?

What the hell are humans thinking? I asked one of the new guys who started to work here recently to keep his eyes on their actions.

That guy is quite young, but he also proved his worth by staying by my side as one of my loyal people.

“Your royal highness, I have urgent things to report to you. The Vampire King has commanded you to go with your people and finish the Thera Kingdom.

He was infuriated by their schemes. The humans are trying to find a way to extinguish the Vampire clan.

They are trying to find a way to get rid of the Vampires so, that the one to rule the whole place will be them.

You must go and bring that ignorant king head for our king”, Zed told me while he was still huffing.

So, they have finally decided to spice up things. Well, even I was getting bored sitting on this throne. Now, what do they usually say in such moments?

‘Oh, yes. Time for some action’, I mumbled to myself while getting up from the throne.

This is father’s order so, I will have to kill all of them. I am going to slaughter that useless king’s neck. I am so excited.

I mean, I am going to have so much blood today thanks to their stupidity. They seriously thought that they can kill the Vampire with their useless strength.

“Zed, go and prepare everything that we are going to need for the war.

Don’t take too many people as we are not going to need so many to finish the likes of them”, I told him calmly and after that, I walked towards my mother’s portrait which was hanged on the wall.

She was quite a beautiful woman and that must be the reason why my father took a liking to her. Well, she died in a worse manner.

It’s not like I am getting sad over the fact that she is no more or something like that. As the one who killed her was none other than me.

Yes, I killed her and my hands didn’t even shake even a bit while doing so. Zed only bowed his head and walked out of that place.

I am going to enjoy myself by slicing those useless things throats. I hope to drink some fresh, warm blood, but if their blood won’t taste good then I am going to give them to my people. I don’t like to drink tasteless blood.

“Your highness, everything is ready. I have personally checked everything. Should I also inform the king that we are going to finish the Thera Kingdom or should I wait?

I think it will be better if I will inform him about the victory”, exclaimed Edith in a low voice whilst he was still looking at the floor.

His hands and face are covered with blood. He must have taken care of Fred. I should treat this guy.

“How should I treat you for your hard work, Edith? Tell me, what do you want the most and I will do everything in my power to fulfil it”, I asked him while I was looking in his direction.

He got silent for some moments, but then he opened his mouth and thereupon, he asked me in a low and stuttered voice, “Umm... I don’t want anything for me, your grace.

Instead, I have a small request. Why don’t you take someone as your bride.”

I glared at him and he immediately bowed down his head, “I am sorry, my royal highness.

It was not something that I should have said to you, but it’s not just only my wish, but it’s the wish of everyone close to you.”

I showed him my hand and he stooped talking.

“Don’t bring this topic ever again, Edith. Did you forget what happened last time? No, right?

Then stop saying such useless things and get ready to fight with the humans. Although, they stand no chance to defeat me”, I told him in a cold voice while I looked at the sky through the window.

I turned around and walked out of the hall whilst all my people silently followed me.

I was now out of the castle. My eyes were now on the beautiful and peaceful Thera kingdom. Being a vampire has its perks.

Unlike those pathetic humans, we can look at faraway places quite clearly. Even in the dark.

The mere thought of them going against my father and my kind are enough to make me feel agitated.

I clenched my fists in tightly and glared at the place. My eyes must have turned red by now as the moment I get angry, the colour of my eyes changes.

My anger won’t quench until I kill all those bastards.

I dashed toward the kingdom direction with my full speed whilst my people followed me. They shouldn’t have double-crossed us. Now, it’s time for them to pay for their greed.

From this day onwards they are not going to forget the vampire prince’s name and that is Mateo Von Valentino.
