That evening, Jocelyn had hoped to have a quiet night with her dad and Fluffer, but apparently the universe was not going to let that happen. Her younger sister Alex was at the house when Jocelyn came in. Five years younger than Jocelyn, Alex was outgoing and had a penchant for getting into trouble. It didn’t help that she was a pretty girl, with her dark chestnut hair and sparkling eyes. Compared to Alex, Jocelyn had always seemed pale and drab.
