Not Quite the Same

306 Words
Getting off the bus, Lynney could take a deep breath of relief for managing her job and personal concerns well. She was grateful to have a neighbour who was kind enough to take a glance at the windows opposite her open balcony and assured Lynney that they were all half-closed and it would not be a big deal to worry about. She would be happy to look out for her should there be anything suspicious. No wonder Lynney loved elderly neighbours. They always loved to chat anytime and help out young people close to them. Now, all she needed to do was to return to the office and leave some note report for Miss Wilson before she could work out the day's greatest mystery. It seemed to be a typical Friday, but it was different in many ways to the actual Friday that she had experienced the day before. The bus driver was different and one whom she had never came across before. She wondered if he was really that new or she had not bothered to notice before...For another point, this was much better in many ways to the previous Friday. Year after year, her birthday was the blue-st day of the year but this time it was a change. As she walked along the path towards the building, she was reflecting about all these and finding a new reason to celebrate although she was still not completely buying that it was truly a second 'Friday'. Was God playing a trick on her mind and sense of reality?...Perhaps, the moment she stepped back into her apartment home, it would all turn back to a lazy 'Saturday' again... "Hmmm...I would definitely play it safe...This all couldn't be real...It has to be a 'Saturday' after all!" Lynn thought aloud in her mind before entering through the doors.
