"No, mom...Oh no, I mean, wait...thank you so very much for the greatest birthday gift I have ever received from you and dad, my most beloved...Rolleen is just a total miracle from heaven...But this time, it's different and overly magical, you know..." Lynney paced out of her home apartment building and down the street hugging her precious new friend in her arms as she readied to take it to the nearest veterinary clinic.
Mrs Dawson, Lynn's mom was now more than confused and beginning to get worried about her daughter's story of time and day mix-up. Stopping halfway her gardening job, she decided to express her concern, "Now, Lynney, yesterday was and will always be Saturday...Are you sure you have not been stressed out by your daily overtimes? I checked the calendar and talked to your father and our neighbours, watched the television, bought the groceries just like any other weekend...No, I think I had better come over to Sommerville to help you out...You girl just giving me more reasons to keep a close watch over you..."
Lynney immediately stopped in her track and moaned, "But Mom! I still have my new love to take care of...and it needs much more energy from me more than Rolleen! I have a lot of things to set in order! Oh, good thing the clinic doesn't need a pre-booked appointment..."
Mrs Dawson quickly kept away all the gardening tools and stepped back into her kitchen, "Now, talking nonsense about time magic - that really doesn't sound like a normal healthy young lady would say...You don't have to worry about mom messing things up because your apartment itself is already a heap of mess thanks to you! It's time for mom to go work on a spring cleaning makeover for your poor little under-cared home - no buts!"
In less than a second, Lynney was hung up abruptly by her mom. Dreading all possible lecture and nagging that would come about very soon, she tried to call her back at least five times to explain but there was no answer. Mrs Dawson is irresistibly firm this time. Lynney should have known better to not talk irrationally on a fine early spring day as this. Her arms a little tired, she would want to purchase a convenient carrier for Specky as soon as she got the opportunity. Now, every passer-by was casting curious looks at a lady in her twenties carrying around a bunny with a bandaged leg. Lynney did her best to avoid meeting their gazes or in case anyone would strike up an unnecessary conversation with her - it was a good thing her neighbour was not up yet on a lazy Sunday.
As much as she wanted to be at the clinic almost instantly, Lynney could not help but be enticed by the sweet sight of blossoming cherry blossoms planted along the sidewalk. Her face literally lit up with radiant smiles...
"Oh, did you see those, Specky? Such lovely paradise!" She quickly fished out her cellphone with one free hand and started snapping wonderful shots of those amazing tender flowers...Photography was one of her leisure jobs and she had uploaded over a thousand photos for sale on those stock photography company websites...Unfortunately, it was just that none of them has yet met the minimum payout threshold for her to obtain extra bucks for pocket money purpose. Just while she was enjoying her time, it dawned on her the date for today - April Fool, the first of the month that has fallen on a Sunday...
"0104...Is that it?" Lynney right away remembered part of code that was attached to Specky when she first picked it up from her balcony...
