Incident

Returning to work later that morning with a bus that was perfectly on schedule, Lynney did not expect the least that the company office suite was turned upside down by a major water leak in the ceiling. With buckets littered all over the place and constant heavy and noisy dripping, Miss Wilson had to let all employees vacate the office and offer them at least a one week paid leave in order to get the repairing job fully done. Lynney was not sure if it could be regarded as a blessing or curse, for there were still many more additional emails flooding into her inbox. And so after a very brief casual meeting at the building's quiet cafeteria, Miss Wilson recommended them all to do necessary ample research before working on each of their assignments pertaining to the recent Fridays' time mess that had swept the city. For the rest of the week, everyone should keep close contact with one another through electronic means and any other channel possible. Lynney figured it could well be another challenging and unpredictable week...She silently prayed that the clocks would not go crazy again... As much as she hated unexpected change of events, Lynney hardly have a second to heave with relief upon handing over the cheese tarts to overexcited Reeny and stepping out of the cafeteria when her phone came calling for her. To her disappointment, Reeny actually planned to sit down over a some tempting coffee with her when Lynney had to regretfully reject the opportunity. Mrs Dawson had arrived in Sommerville and called with a mention of an 'urgent' matter about Specky. Perhaps, the office ceiling huge leak was a half-blessing that allowed her enough free time to rush quickly to SLO clinic right after the meeting. Specky seemed to be somewhat fine sleeping throughout the whole morning at Mrs Stanley's when she shortly appeared to be passing out as Lynney's mom arrived... Lynn was worried to the sickest the whole time on the bus until she managed to reach the clinic and meet up with Mrs Dawson, who noticed that she had never seen her daughter so anxious and concerned before. Cyndi then came over and assured her that it was fortunate that they have Dr Lane available to attend to Specky at the moment. "Do you mind telling me what's the cause behind this sudden fainting? She seemed to be doing very well all this while..." Lynney quickly inquired her. Cyndi tried her best to assure the terrified girl that Dr Lane has been working hard on Specky for the past hour and a half but was not able to give a definite answer. When both Lynney and her mom were then led into the treatment room, neither expected to be greeted with such a sight... Lynney was close to bursting into tears the instant she saw Specky once again...In a matter of a second or two, her eyes were already brimming wet that they overflowed...Right beside Dr Lane on the bed, Specky was sitting up and fully alert twitching its pair of lovely standing ears as she gazed back intently at Lynney...Dr Lane could not help smiling as the tearing Lynney requested for permission to hug her poor dear Specky... Mrs Dawson blinked back touching tears and she watched on with Dr Lane at how her daughter was so overwhelmed by her heart for a little weak and innocent bunny like adorable Specky - one she first met in less than three days... Through moistened eyes, Lynney turned around to Dr Lane and gratefully expressed her utmost thanks for saving Specky's life. Something seemed to happen that very moment as the highly-skilled veterinary surgeon nodded to acknowledge her deep gratitude for his help... A tremendous blessing that Specky appeared to be once more in its usual cheerful self, Dr Lane still ought to advise them to let Specky stay at SLO overnight for close monitoring, in particular of her blood pressure for she seemed to be suffering from intermittent hypotension that might have an extended duration effect. He stressed that Specky's underlying condition appeared to be more complicated and mysterious than expected to the point that it was tricky case for him to handle. Yet, with a higher-than-average dose of intravenous medication treatment that has been administered, Dr Lane assured Lynney that things were positively under control at least for the time being before Specky's thorough blood test results would come out by the end of the day...To ease the day's stress off both Lynney and her beloved pet, he gave them permission to head out to the open for some relaxation for a bit before bringing Specky back in while he attended to his other "furry patients" in the meantime...Lynney and Mrs Dawson could not be more relieved and glad...
