Vampire?

Xavier looked sceptical'' Uhm-- sure I will go take my bath now'' Xavier had his clothes on his arms, before walking into the bathroom. I sighed taking my head down after he went out of sight. '' Oh, goddess how is Nora doing by now?'' I feel horrible, but I'm thankful I'm still alive, but how did I survive it, is just a mystery to me. Does a miracle exist? or what?

I aimed at getting off the bed, but then Boppy was wrapped around me. I didn't feel afraid of her anymore, since I was told she was the one who mended my soul together, maybe I wouldn't have survived it if Boppy weren't here.

After he unwrapped herself, I tried sitting uprightly but the pains in my body won't let me. I feel deep cuts on every part of my body '' How long would it take these cuts to heal ?'' I wrenched, digging my hands in the bed so I could stay upright.

Someone suddenly appeared in the room, a face I haven't seen before. He looked like he has some bloodstains on each side of his lips. But his eyes were normal. '' Wh- Who are you?'' I stammered squeezing my face. '' What is he doing in the room? Is he here to harm me? Is he here to take me away. No, no'' fear crept up my skin, and my heart suddenly began to beat hard.

'' Stay back! Don't take me back to that monster! Let me be!'' I screamed subconsciously to the boy in front of me, it felt like I was going insane reminding me of the torture I went through, I was being paranoid. The young boy looked confused, he appeared a bit dangerous, yet his aura says he means no harm.

Xavier quickly appeared in the room, I felt his presence behind me, and when he saw me shaking in fear I had just seen a ghost or had a nightmare. '' Karnley doesn't scare her'' his hoarse voice alerted me that he was out of the bathroom. '' Now get out of here!'' He yelled at the young boy who seem a bit confused about me.

Soon he closed the distance between us wrapping me in his arms. '' Don't be afraid Cassy, he is just a spoilt brat. He can't harm you'' he said, but I was still terribly shaking in fear. Xavier could feel how hot and afraid I was, he could feel my body shaking.

He frowned his face '' How come she is this afraid of Karnley? What is wrong?'' he questioned within himself, looking at me with worrisome eyes and seeming as though he was desperate to know what I went through, and why I suddenly developed shock.

''It's okay Cassy, he is gone now'' he pressed my head to his chest then caress my jet black hair smoothly, like a baby. He rubs it softly like a baby being pampered by her dad, so smooth and sweet. This act gradually reduce the tension in me, and the rate at which my body was shaking.

Then I noticed I'd been resting on his bare chest. '' Ahh!! You are naked'' I screamed grabbing the pillow to cover my face. '' Huh? What do you mean? I have my towel on?'' he seemed hilarious. I pushed him by his chest '' Go, go! Go and dress up'' I scoffed. ''He is so shameless, how can he even hug me? Who gave him the right'' I scoffed, rolling my eyes while he walked to his closet trying to pick up some random clothes.

'' I thought you were scared that's why I hugged you'' he answered as he struggled with the grey top on his broad chest. '' Huh? Did he just hear my thoughts? I didn't say those words out right?'' I widened my eyes in shock. He turned to look at me then he started smiling. '' Why are you smiling huh? Can you hear my thoughts? Who are you?'' I questioned getting surprised.

'' You said, who gave me the right to hug you? Did I hear your thought?'' He answered my question indirectly. '' Jezz oh my God, if he can hear my thoughts I must not think of Nora'' I tightened my eyes. '' Oh no! Can't I have some privacy to myself?'' I grumbled, while he kept on smiling unusually, I wonder what is funny.

'' Who is Nora? and why were you afraid of that kid?'' he asked walking towards me. He is dressed up so soon. Between, he looked very handsome in those clothes on, especially when his black hair was curled that way. He looked so hot. His beauty skipped my respiration for a while, making me lose the words I want to say from my lips.

I was dumbfounded by his appearance making me look like a dummy. My jaw dropped, opening my mouth to let flies get in. He waved his fingers in the air to bring me back to my senses. '' Ohhh, what did you say?'' I blinked my eyes at him.

'' I asked why you were scared of that little kid'' he repeated. '' H--He had blood on the corners of his lips'' I stuttered for a while. '' Blood?'' he repeated, and then I nodded. '' So this is the stuff they had to do?'' Xavier raised his brow thinking to himself.

'' And Nora? Who is she?'' I thought he had dropped that question off, but I was mistaken. '' Nothing'' I said, sealing up my lips and my thoughts.

Soon he scoffed then smiled again, I wonder why he is smiling now, it seems off to me. '' Are you laughing at me?'' I asked. '' Haha__ that was just a smile, I wasn't laughing'' now he burst into laughter for real. I frowned at him, looking at him strangely. '' I'm sorry, that was just so funny'' he said.

'' What is funny?'' I frowned. '' You shutting your thoughts down so I won't hear you.'' He said. Then I gasped. '' You have to tell me what you went through, you can trust me and I promise never to let anyone harm you'' he said staring at me with that smouldering golden eyes, that look like sprinkling gold, so attractive and compelling.

'' Would you protect me?'' I said softly, blinking my eyes like a beautiful doll. He took my hands up into his '' Yes you can trust me'' he said.

'' Can I ask a question?'' I said. '' Of course, you can'' he said, flashing a smile at him. I love it when he smiled though, it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. '' What are you? Why is it possible for you to hear my thoughts?'' I asked.

'' Uhm__ do you want to know?'' he cleared his throat. Then I nodded. '' I am a vampire'' he said with his hoarse voice, and boldly. I widened my eyes. '' A vampire!'' I screamed. '' Yes, I am sure you must have heard of us'' he said.

'' Yes I have, and I do hear what you are capable of'' I said. I heard of them from the story Nora usually gist me after she was done reading the books. '' I heard you eat humans and feed on their blood'' I said to his face, I know I should be scared of him by now, but no I wasn't. I didn't even feel any goosebumps on my skin or my palm sweating because of fear, no I wasn't but I don't understand why I didn't get afraid.

'' Uhm__ you are kind of right but also not right'' he said, shaking his head and tormenting me with his hot look and flashy eyes, shining like a flame. '' What do you mean?'' I asked.

'' Vampires dont suck on humans' blood or any specie, except you, step on their toes or they are venting their long time anger and sorrow by devouring on flesh. Just like me.'' He said. '' Just like you? I don't get that line'' I said.

'' I mean, just like me I devour on flesh often'' he said. '' Oh wow. No, I'm so curious now'' I laughed. '' You should because I saved you and you are still alive. The vampire is even promising to protect you, he was referring to himself.

'' But why didn't you eat me up?'' I downcasted my gaze, then raised my brow. '' I wanted to.'' He spoke frantically. '' But why didn't you!?'' I asked, my ears aching for answers.

'' Because I felt something different about you. Your blood scent is very different from every other one I've sucked'' he said. Oh my god, I can swear I was thrown off my balance, sweat suddenly dotted on my forehead. I thought I wasn't scared of him, but now I could feel my heart beating fast.

Xavier noticed how I started sweating profusely and moving back a bit, but the wall seem to end it. I slammed my back to the wall, breathing heavily.

'' Cassy'' he caught the tip of my hands. '' Cassy I'm never going to hurt you. I promise'' he spoke softly, killing me with his smouldering golden eyes. I could see how honest he is from his eyes, he looks frantically innocent. My beating heart dropped immediately. '' Cassy you can trust him. He save you and even got you treated'' my conscience was even pleading for him.

Then I nodded moving back to him '' I guess you heard my thoughts again right?'' '' Yes, get used to it. It's one of my abilities'' he said.

I didn't ask any questions again, I thought that was enough to digest. Even though I still have a lot to ask.

''Often? He often sucks blood, does that mean he his venting his anger too? But what happened to him?'' I don't know why I suddenly showed concern about him, but I'm curious, I want to know. Who hurts him? That makes him turn into a brutal vampire?
