Alex glanced across the lake, trying to use the little light of the moon to see. “There is someone else over there!” His voice was anxious, as he tried to make it out.
“It’s taking her!” Josh yelled out, horrified.
With out a word, they all raced up the hillside and mounted their horses. They rode like demons to the other side of the lake, the thick brush smacking them as they forced their way through it. It felt like it took forever to reach the other side of the lake. When they got to the shore, there was no one there. Serenity was gone!
“It’s so dark...how are we going to find her?” Josh looked around in a panic!
“They couldn’t have gotten far! Let’s keep looking!” Alex rode into the wooded area, looking for signs that someone had passed through.
