A few days had passed and they knew that by now, Alex had reached his kingdom and that preparations were well on their way. Soon, his messenger would arrive letting them know it is time to depart. Damien had continued to hold strong and made sure he didn’t take his relationship with Serenity too far, though he had to throw a bucket of cold water over himself a few times after leaving her. As much as Damien wished he could spend all of his time with Serenity, especially since he would be leaving her soon, there were still many duties that he had to be taken care of. He reluctantly kissed her forehead, and left her standing on the balcony while he went back into the encampment.
