Lily Cox walked on the crowded road where cars were whizzing past, lost in her thoughts. She didn’t notice the Cadillac driving past her and then coming to a stop. The windows rolled down, and a handsome face popped up looking around searching for something.
Watching the familiar figure disappear in a corner, Lucas Coleman pursed his thin lips before scoffing himself and rolling up the windows.
“Drive.” There was an irresistible hint of sexiness in his voice. It was magnetic but not too deep. Like a magical creature at night, his voice moved everyone’s soul.
“Chairman, are you still searching for that woman?” Jasmine Xenos started the car upon hearing the command. She stole a glance at Lucas Coleman.
“Since she likes to play hide and seek, I’ll play the game with her,” said Lucas meaningfully. His deep and enchanting eyes peered at the sky into the distance. Since heaven intended to hide her from him, why should he bother?
He only went through all this work because he wanted to know whether she wanted him for his money, or she had some other motive. His attraction to her was only due to curiosity for the past few months. Not some damn… feeling she made him feel from that night.
His heart was moved as he recalled the morning after they shared the night. He thought back to the woman’s shy and timid reactions as well as her moans and beginning. When he saw the stain of red on top of that, it was then that he truly believed it was her first time.
After he checked out the tapes from the hotel, he realized that the woman who came to his room wasn’t the celebrity who booked the room in order to please him and get signed under his company.
This wasn’t surprising. He was the chairman of Coleman Company, and there were countless women who would do anything to share a night with him, hoping to become his lover and obtain his tens of billions worth of assets. What he couldn’t understand was his deadly attraction to the mysterious woman’s body.
The damned longing feeling. It was as if he was put under a spell. He couldn’t stop thinking about the woman’s delicate body and her unique fragrance.
Several months later, Lily Cox was due any day now. She was in the clean delivery room with just her best friend, Heather Thompson.
Though this was a product of her foolish mistake from that night, she didn’t have the heart to abort her baby. It was her child!
Lily Cox rubbed her swollen belly and basked in the happiness. Soon! She’ll be a mother!
The morning of her due date, Lily Cox started feeling piercing pain from her belly. Her baby was eager to announce its presence to the world! She was afraid yet happy at the same time. Her heart was overwhelmed with emotions.
“Lily, hold on. The doctor is coming!” Her best friend, Heather, was a loyal and great friend. Although she was against her giving birth to the baby, she chose to support her decision after seeing how determined she was. Later on, she was even talking about becoming the baby’s godmother.
“It’s fine. My baby loves me too much to put me through all this pain.” Lily Cox smiled through the pain.
Next door, top-notch delivery room.
“What’s going on? Lucas still isn’t answering his phone?” The pregnant woman sat in the ward, furious. Though she was pregnant, one could tell how beautiful and charming she was before all of this.
“Madam, please calm down. The chairman said he’ll come here soon.” The person standing by the bed was Lucas Coleman’s assistant. He advised politely.
“I’m going to give birth now, and all he did was send you here? What’s he up to?” Yuna Xenos couldn’t control her anger.
“The plane got delayed. The chairman doesn’t want this to happen either.” The assistant explained patiently.
“Stop—” Yuna wanted to continue, but she felt a stabbing pain from her stomach. “I’m going into labor! Call the doctor!”
Shortly after…
“Ah!”
“Ahhh!”
There were only screams from the two different women in the rooms…
Lily Cox would’ve never thought that this seemingly ordinary night would change countless people’s lives silently!
There was a beautiful cloud of iridescence overhead above the hospital…
